Wow 9 sleeps...Going to start on the packing in the next few days...Hubby works offshore and is due off this week! I really hope there is no fog that is going to keep him on the rig! 5 days is the longest he has ever been stuck on it.

At least this experience reminded me that I hadn't yet purchased trip medical insurance !

Crossing my fingers that the germs can be kept at bay, and that I'll get a good couple of nights sleep before we leave! Can't be exhausted at the beginnning of a Disney trip!

Wishing your family a speedy recovery! My oldest son stayed home today with a terrible cold/cough...sigh. We leave Friday.

2 sleeps left and im the only healthy one! knock on wood! dh has strep, ds has slap cheek and dd had a yeast infection and now has developed another infection on top from scratching it. oy...i'm thinking of taking my medicine cabinet with us.....

It's so hard to concentrate though.

My excitement keeps getting turned into worry though, I think it's because of our connecting flight. I hate the stress of having to make a connection.

Plenty in the bag for DH.

Dh had to go across town today and told me there was a big sale at the Disney Store. I didn't even know there was a store where he was! Guess where DD and I are going tommorow...

(My DH must be trying to get me out of the house... DD said "how does Dad know what's going on at the Disney Store?" Stranger things have happened.
2 days off work now, then I have to work Thurs.. then leave Friday morn! YAY

Have a great trip all who are leaving this week. Three more weeks for us and I am glad and sorry to know that so many others have medical issues pending. I can only enjoy being on the dis to share the magic as our trip is a surprise for DH and DGD and I can't talk about it around the house. DH was injured at work last week ( as some of you know) and work is dragging their feet with his MRI appointment. So afraid to tell him about the surprise for fear he will say GO WITHOUT ME. Its his birthday! and no, I didn't get insurance either. Lets all share the pixie dust and prayers for each other. I trust all will end magically! Congrats to Carp09. Happy Wedding weekend. The rest of you- GET PACKING!

Eeeeeeeeeee, two days!

I only have tonight to sleep in my own bed and then tomorrow night we're at the airport hotel.

When I think about how close it is I feel ever so slighty sick..........

I just want all the 13 hours of travel to be over and to be on the ME!

3 days for us too! Cannot wait - the 13 of us will be meeting in Buffalo on Thursday night and then its JetBlue at 7am on Friday!!!!!!!!!!!

For those who are battling the flu in your ouse, I now swear by Oscillococcinum! It is found at CVS, Rite Aid, Walmart, etc. You can print a coupon online from their website. My son got the flu last year and was given one of the flu drugs. DH got it next and he got flu meds too. I gave DD some of the Oscillococcinum as soon as I found it and started myself on it, since she had a dance competition that weekend. DD had a fever one day, felt tired, but was able to dance the weekend. DS was out of it for a week and DH was sick for about 5 days. I never got it!

The medicine comes in a little tube and is similar to small mini candy icecream toppings. They have a slightly sweet taste and dissolve quickly. I think it is safe for kids, but am not 100% sure. (just checked and they make it for kids) http://www.oscillo.com/
If there is any concern, take some of this with you. I know I will have it with us....just in case.

Hope everyone heals quickly.

As for me, I am 8 days out and still feeling like the world is caving in on me. Too many appointments got scheduled this week, but it's too late now. Washer and dryer will be fixed tomorrow, I hope. So at least I can pack some clean clothes.

Seems like this is the season for sickness. I'm so scared of getting sick, I keep threatening that I'm going to forcibly remove my coworkers if they come in the office with a cough.
