Though, to be honest, I don't think we've ever eaten at any of the other restaurants!!! My younger brother goes to school at the University of Tampa (he's abroad right now, which is why he's not mentioned...) I know he & his friends head over to Bubba Gump Shrimp (or whatever it's called) to celebrate birthdays. And if it helps, we made the reservation at Margaritaville that morning around 10 or so, while in line for Pooh! Their number is 407-224-2155. It's different than the main dining number.

Oh, and we checked in early for our reservation. They told us they had three bars at Margaritaville. That doesn't include the outside ones. So I'm sure you'll find a spot ![]() Enjoy

Also: SnwflkCts has pictures of the fried rice and egg rolls from Yak & Yeti CS. I added a link to her report in that section, but for those of you who want to see but don't care to search back, here it is! http://disboards.com/showpost.php?p=...5&postcount=26

Hee Hee ... I was reading your review, reading about Citricos which DH and I would like to check out and thought I would get your thoughts on Y&Y Counter Service. I was planning to post when I saw the link to my review as you had asked for -- then I recognized the name. Thanks for linking to mine. And you had the same thoughts as I did -- what a lack of seating!!!!
Your picture of EE is just beautiful! Thanks for the great reviews and I will check back in for other reviews. I told DH about the Bakery in Main Street but it was too crowded when we went there. We had better luck in Epcot at Norway -- no one was in front of us there - that place is hidden! And wasn't the weather just wonderful last week!!! And this morning we had snow flurries here in No Va!!!!!!!!!!!

It was really good. And they do have a side of fries if any of your clan is not so adventurous!Quote:
Definitely a lack of seating at Y&Y. Though I could have sat on a wall and be happy. It's those picky old folks I travel with (kidding) I'm not a huge fan of coconut, so I don't do school bread. I dragged my Mom in when we were there after Christmas. She loved it. I'll be taking my boyfriend for my birthday. I think he'll like it. And I agree. The weather was just perfect! I haven't seen any snow flurries, it's actually been sunny up here! I'm sure that'll change soon ![]() Quote:

Tokyo Dining
We're now onto Sunday. What an absolutely gorgeous day. The first couple days were a little chilly, but today was much warmer.
![]() Now, today I had not one, but 2 ADR's. One for lunch, one for dinner. And we had a tasty beverage planned. We'll start with lunch. I've never been an adventurous eater until about a year ago...ish. A few months ago my boyfriend persuaded me to try sushi, his favorite. We have a place just outside of Rochester that's fantastic. I mean, awesome. In fact, I'm going to link to it. Amazing Sushi. (Okay, first: I know sushi isn't rolls, but that's what my mind calls it, sorry.) So I'm a bit spoiled because this place is good. And no, I don't have any benefit of telling you it's good, it just is. So I decided that I wanted to try Sushi in Disney. I mean, if it's good here in Rochester it has to be good in Disney right?? So instead of going to the Cali Grill, I went to Tokyo Dining. Because honestly, Japan=Sushi. Right? Okay. So we got here: ![]() Right at noon. Our ADR was at 1215. I haven't been to either restaurant since the remodel. Very nice Disney, I give you props. So not too long after that we were seated against the window looking down over the World Showcase. If I were here for dinner, close to Illuminations time, that would have been extra awesome. But I enjoyed it just the same because I got to people watch...one of my favorite past times. Now on this trip, my Uncle, Aunt, & cousin were joining us, but only occasionally in the parks. My Aunt, Mom & Dad aren't really big on sushi, so they went to England and got fish and chips. Which made my Mom do this: So she was a happy camper. So this ADR was my Uncle, my cousin (my age), and myself. They both got Japanese beers, and I got a gingerale. (I was saving my booze for my tasty beverage later!) They both enjoyed the beers. To start, I got edamame ![]() Which if you don't know are soybeans. I have to say I was a little disappointed. Before going I had seen on other people's reports how they were served in a neat container. These were served on a plate. Boring. And they were ice cold. Which was just weird. I've never been served them ice cold. They tasted good though. And I ate all of them, because I do love my soy beans, I just was a little disappointed in the presentation and slightly put off that they were ice cold. My cousin got a salad with the ginger dressing. It looked tasty. I'm a big fan of rolls, but I don't do spicy real well. I wanted to try something a little more than just a Tuna Roll. (Boring.) So I got the Rainbow Roll: ![]() It was good. But it was a little boring. I will say the quality of the fish is better than what I get here, but I rather expected that...it is Florida versus Upstate NY I know my Uncle got a sampler platter that included some shashimi and my cousin got a spicier roll. Overall my impression here was that it was good, it was lovely, but ehhhhhhh. I like our little sushi place here a lot better. I'm glad I tried it though. What's weird is that I think our rolls are better here in Rochester, but I don't think our hibachi measures up. So if I want to eat in the Japan pavilion I would pick Tepan Edo over Tokyo Dining. But then again, there wasn't anything wrong with Tokyo Dining either. I think if I wanted a light sit down meal, I'd return. But I wouldn't go out of my way either, just because I think I can get this type of food better locally. And there are other types of food I can get in Disney that are better down there than locally. Hope I made myself clear Bonus picture!

Another good report and I don't eat sushi, I am allergic to shellfish...so I stay away from most seafood. It did look pretty.
My kids would actually pick fried rice of french fries. Believe it or not. Our first day is AK, hopefully I will be eating at Yak and Yeti for lunch. |
