Hi, glad I found you. Thanks to Kat for posting the link or I'd still be stumbling along.
Sheryl - Great news at the doctor. I hope this helps. Marisa - I agree 100%. I support mine until they are wrong too. Which, unfortunately in Patrick's case at least, is more often than not. Laura - Those pics look wonderful. Tonight's dinner is baked shrimp scampi with french bread. Happy Friday everyone.

Good morning, everyone!
Bethany - what a horrible story! Those parents must have been so crazy! I can't imagine not knowing what happened to my child for that long! Things here went really well last night. Alan and I were able to handle all 10 kids without too many problems. At least, we're still semi-sane! I got them all up and off to school this morning, as well. WooHoo! I must say, however, that I'm very glad I don't have 10. 5 is plenty, thank you very much. As I went to bed, I told Alan that I was very thankful for my tubal ligation! Lauren - I'm glad your hospital tour went well. It helps to feel comfortable with your doctor and nurses! Dinner tonight will be poor man's stroganoff. My oldest niece and I are going to Mimi's Cafe for Hen Night tonight, so I had to come up with something my hubby could make for the rest of the kids. Can I say I'm thrilled I don't have to be around the kids for a while tonight? Does that make me a bad person? Have a great day, everyone! I'm off to Urgent Care to have my elbow x-rayed. Hopefully, it will explain why I'm in such pain! |

We love Becky's curried sweet potatoes. Basically you peel and cut the potatoes, Coat them with melted butter curry powder and salt and pepper. Roast in a hot oven turning once
She has the recipe on one of these threads,( I am not known for little things like measuring, temperatures or times ) but if you are interested I'll look for it.I also have a sweet potato gratin, which is a mashed seasoned sweet potato topped with a crunchy "crisp". I'll stop by later when I can talk...I am supposed to be cleaning this piggy house

Thanks Kat for the new home! And I like the "welcome home" you gave! My building just has a "no trespassing" sign on the front door.
I'm at work today, although I must say I wish I had stayed home. These kids are off the hook today! They will not stop talking for anything. Only 3 more hours until the weekend lol! I'm feeling better overall today, still not 100% though. I was able to get a dotor's appt for Monday after work so that is good. Maybe I can find out why I've been dizzy and having stomach issues for at least the past week. Ok off to get the talkers, err, children!

Morning Y'all,
Kat, Thanks for taking care of us & our thread! Go Dolphins! Kat have fun! Laura, What Aimee said!! Full Fat & yummy! I so want to come live with you! Can I just go back & forth between your house & Becky's? Lauren, I'm glad you liked everything! Sorry you are so tired though. Your pm was full yesterday. I sent you an email, did you see it? (about your MIL's eyeliner)Glynis, Your elbow? I don't remember you mentioning it. I'm sorry I probably just missed it or forgot! I hope it's okay! You are definitely not a bad person, you are a goood goood woman!!! Nan & Ann, Angelina night terrors usually started around 11-11:30. They would also last all night. It was as scary to me & as it was to her. She would sit up with her eyes open, screaming & crying. She always looked through me, liked she saw something behind me. You don't know how many times, I'd turn around to check! I'd get her calmed down, lay down with her only to have it start again an hour later. I had a very good morning! I just happen to see the school counselor this morning. She waved at me, so I thought this is perfect. We know each other from my DD's days at the school. She taught DD & my SonIL and she was their counselor! She invited me into her office. This lady is great! We had a good long talk, catching up on each other's lives. ( I was thrilled to learn she is cancer free for 13 yrs now breast cancer & has 3 grandchildren.) With me explaining the grandparent role I'm in now with Alexis. We were able to easily discuss what's been going on with Alexis and the teacher. I could see she felt for us when she learned who the teacher was. She was shocked by the way the teacher has handled Alexis & her not responding to a letter. She did say that they had paired that teacher with an experienced assitant who was more of the "touchy feely type". She used the words, straightforward, business like, and NOT touchy feely to describe A's teacher. (very pc of her, but I understood her position) I refrained from saying when the cold one is corrupting the warm one. Anyway, she said she would take care of it and not to worry. She'd be speaking with her teachers today!!! I was also able to discuss Alexis reading problems with her & received some good insight on that!! As I said a good morning! But now I'm off to have my MRI on my neck. I'm annoyed with that, because I wont get to discuss the results with the dr until March 5. Have a good day everyone!! |

Thanks, Kat for starting the new thread! Go Dolphins!!
I don't know how you did it. I got my two on the school bus...Liam without his lunch money and with no egg-free cupcakes that he was supposed to bring in today, and Caili without instructions for dismissal time. Good thing the school is right down the road.Marisa I sent you a PM. I'm not sure what I am making for dinner, although all the talk of Indian food has me craving it, so I might make that. Indian food requires making two meals though.
