Thank you all,As it was my 50th we went to Lapland(levi which has been voted the best Scandinavian resort),all my life i have wanted to see the northern lights,so why not try on your birthday
boy i wasn't disappointed first saw them on the Monday for 5 min, then on my birthday we walked down to the frozen lake behind hotel and saw a 45 min display,and as a bonus saw a shooting star  next night saw the again for 5 min. on a bus back from the ice hotel.then the last night saw an amazing 1 hour and 15 min display which we saw all 3 colours blue/green and red(this one rare to see) and lit up half the sky found it a spiritual experience and would recommend to anyone.We didnt ry to photo as hard to do just wanted the experience of seeing them,we got friendly with a professional photographer on the lake, Has said will send me a photo of me and DW looking at the lights Will post when i get it Paul

been going since 1992 sayed offtite a few years then at ASMovies,ASmusic,ASsports,Pop,Caribiean beach.coranardo springs,port orleans,beach club,wildernes lodge,AK lodge,Vero beah,Hilton head island,Disneyland hotel ca,paradice pier ca and fav saratoga springs resort all in no particular order and how can i forget the disney 7 night cruise
