Is that the same thing as the Country Music Marathon that alot of our running/walking friends are doing? Hope it went well for you! I am lucky to get a 16:30 m/m pace going with my knee - it has really been bothering me lately. It has been slightly better the last few weeks when I have been better about my exercises and walks, but it is still hard for me to walk at a decent pace.

Snow this morning, high about 45 today, supposed to rain most of the week.
Have a great day everyone!

Good Morning All!

It looks like another picture perfect day here in NJ. After the past 2 weeks of clouds and chilly weather, it's wonderful.

Our lilacs are already in bloom... very early for these here. They usually begin the first week of May and are still around for a Mother's Day bouquet. The air is saturated with their heady fragrance. I love it, Joe sneezes!

On the home front... Joe's mother fell yesterday and broke her hip. Her surgery is set for today. Rehab and therapy to follow. We will need to change her house around a bit to have her living on one floor. She is in good spirits, which is most of the battle!

Lynn... while I love snow... I think I would be a bit tired of it by now. Be careful with your knee.

Good Morning Cruisers!

Georgie - for Joe's mother's hip surgery!

Knee is slowly getting better, I have good days and bad days. I have been really good about keeping up the leg exercises and that seems to help alot.

Really foggy here this morning, but we are supposed to see the sun today, and it should get a bit warmer than yesterday, maybe into the 60's. It is windy though, and will be windy again tomorrow. Todays project is to start staining Scott's Tiki Bar. I am waiting for it to warm up just a bit.

Have a great day everyone!

Hey Ken!

Aren't we one day closer to cruising!!!

Thanks for the hugs for Joe's Mom. She was supposed to have surgery this morning at 9:00, but the nurse gave her one of her meds with applesauce!!!

She finally got in at 6:30. The doctor said she had the one main break and some small ones as well, but they were able to get the metal rod in. Tomorrow they will try to get her out of bed.

've been faithfully walking 2 miles every day for2 weeks, but today, I just pooped out. I think my head is wiped out... just the more reason to walk. Will get up and try again tomorrow

Lynn- Yes the same race. There were more hills than we expected, hard for us to do hill training in Florida. We did OK, 13:38 per mile but it took alot of effort. Alex

Just a update on how it is going with our new house.

We received our keys yesterday . Last night my DH and I sealed the granite counter tops in the kitchen and sealed all of the tile on the floors and the counters in the bathrooms and laundry room. Boy, am I tired!!!

We have folks coming by on Saturday to help move. I will be really busy tomorrow and my mom will be here Saturday to help out. Tonight we have a Dodger game we are going to.

I hope everyone is having a great day.

Brenda!

Welcome back! You're doing it! Good for you. Good Luck with your move. Enjoy the game.

Thanks for your thoughts for Joe's Mom. They are trying to get her out of bed today... so far, not luck. Once she is able to stand, they will make plans to get her into rehab.

Good afternoon everyone - another day closer to the cruise!!!

Spent a nice day in the Solvange area at a wine tasting picnic. Lots of fun. Got sunburned - what's new with that.

Picked up some wine for my Arthritis Ride wine auction. That was worth the sunburn.

Sounds like a fun afternoon for you Ken!

Just wanted to share one of our favorite views of Spring. We wait for the lilacs, and dogwood trees to bloom about this time every year. The lane winds down back to my parents house.

Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend...
