In 2006 we booked a regular room and were upgraded at check in to pool view, but not savannah view. We heard no noise from the pool at all unless we went out on the balcony. Room wise, I would think they are about the same unless you get a suite. We had a king room.
I'll see if I can post pictures.

We are booked in a standard room at AKL in November. We wanted to stay there but not pay the extra money for the view.
