POFQ Review...4/12-4/20(including pics)
-Stayed in Bldg. 5 on the 1st floor and was very pleased.
-Room was in good shape except for a couple of the dresser drawers which kept opening on their own. More funny then irritating. -Quality of the food in the food court was good. Ate breakfast or lunch there several times. Only complaint...don't hire people who don't have a basic understanding of the English language. If you can't understand a simple request like "no mayo", you need to be working in a different section of WDW. -Bus transportation to the parks was good. Coming back from DHS & EC...so so. There didn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to when the buses went to POR afterwards and sometimes the buses stopped at POFQ first on the way back from the parks...good for us at POFQ. -Don't believe the "you can go anywhere in WDW via Taxi for $10-15". It cost $19.75+tip to go from POFQ to AKL. -Boat to DTD was efficient, but it was a cool ride on Sun-Wed in the evening. -Housekeeping was good in terms of cleaning and brought us anything we needed when called upon. -Used the pool a few times. Water was warm, pool wasn't crowded and we were always able to find seats by the pool. Overall a good stay and look forward to returning again!! Last edited by labattblue; 04-21-2008 at 09:41 AM. |

Thank you for posting your review! I'll be at POFQ in 2 weeks. Where is a good area to stay if I want a quieter experience when inside my room? I am sensitive to noise when I'm trying to sleep. Is it a noisy resort? I doubt I'll request anything but an upper level, but I'd like to know if I've lucked out or not when they assign our room.
Thanks again! |

Dresser drawers opening on their own? Yikes!
Maybe those missing ghosts from the Haunted Mansion visited your room!

Thanks for the quick review! We arrive at POFQ this Friday, the 25th!
This will be our first time staying at this resort, and we picked it due to a lot I have read here, as well as some friends who have stayed there. I was really torn between this and Riverside, so I'm hoping we made the right choice. We picked it primarily due to it's smaller size, and the fact that our daughter just HAD to stay at the place with the "dragon pool", hehe. Thanks again. |

Just had to add that on our last trip in 2006, I remember one of our dresser drawers opening on its own. I believe we were in building 5, but 3rd floor.
Hmmm.......

Thanks for posting your review and pics - the resort looks lovely!
We'll be staying at POFQ in a little over 2 weeks - I can hardly wait! I'll show the pool pics to DD6 later, as that's all she's interested in with regards to which resort we stay at!
