I made some using cement and the plastic plates they give you with a kids meal at WDW. I couldn't decorate them since I used the bottoms (what was on the bottom of the plate) as the top of the stepping stone.
I have wanted to try and place decorations such as shells and colored stones in the plate before pouring the cement but I ran out of cement and haven't gotten to Home Depot in a while. I can't post a photo because I am computer illiterate but will try to get someone else to do it soon.

Both projects came out great! I think I can attempt the stepping stones...no way on the topiary!
I am heading to WDW in about a week and will try to bring home the kids meal plate for a mold.

The topiary was EASY!!!! Our Hobby Lobby had the "head" already made with ivy and stuck in the pot. I just added the "ears" by taking smaller balls and hot glue ivy to them. I attached the ears by floral wire to the head. EASY and it looks great. I get lots of compliments on it. It took all of about an hour.
Now the stepping stone took over night of course for the cement to set. The Mickey heads inside the stone are jewels also purchased at Hobby Lobby. They were perfect for the Mickey icon. Each of my girls took an ear and I was responsible for the head. Both projects were lots of fun. All of our neighbors and friends know us as the Mickey family. We're crazed!! My girls are always looking out for hidden Mickey's. At Christmas, we have a huge Mickey Icon wreath that hangs over our garage door. (also a project that I learned here on the dis!) |

I stepped onto the grass on the other side; it wasn't any greener, just different.......A candle loses nothing of its light by lighting another candle......I wasn't born a princess, but if the tiara fits......
