Hello everybody!!
I see you are tossing around ideas for the 'theme' for our fridge. This is my first swap and I am wondering if we 'name' our swap? The reason I am asking is because I am first on the list and I know Janet will be sending the stickers to decorate. Is that all I do? Decorate more the fridge than the box since it sounds like the box pretty much gets destroyed over time? Are the stickers the only thing that identifies our fridge? Janet's contact info anywhere on there? Thanks! DeAnna |

They actually sell fridge latches that work great, we have them at home and would definitely do the trick and they are very inexpensive. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0001WVVGO?...0&linkCode=asn

I think "naming our Frig Swap" is a great idea....
Jan was going to see what decorations she could find... she was thinking of a POP Resort theme... Like Big Flowers like Hippy Dippy Theme... Right now it is just The Great 2008 Frig Swap... But I can change it... Just kind of typed what came to mind at the time... We would love to hear everyone's ideas.... |

But I wasn't sure how strong they would be if the frig gets knocked around a bit.... They are just made out of plastic right??? I thought they might break... I personally would love to have a latch on it anyway with the little ones. But a poly nylon luggage strap would probably hold better... We could use both???

I've got a ton of alphabet stickers in my scrapbook stash in an array of colors if we decide on a name. Will glady take along with me and 'stick' our name on it!!!!

Hi everyone,
Sorry, I was on the road today. I found GREAT finding NEMO stickers at AC Moore for the fridge. http://www.acmoore.com/p-49363-disne...-stickers.aspx I got 2 packages and Deanna can let the kids decorate the fridge. The bright colors were great and it is gender neutral for the families with boys. Plus it will be different from the other fridges. I will be sending with the "swapper" information stickers, ones for the fridge, coffeepot and box that will have my contact information on it so those would need to be on the fridge too. Probably on all sides to be sure the way luggage services stacks it that it would be visible from all sides. I will check on Walmart website for the luggage strap and if they have it I will send with the fridge/coffeepot. How about "Nemo found our Fridge swap" for a name??? |

Here is a unique option for the strap, it has a lock on it.

Cute stickers!!
My DD12 is very excited to decorate the fridge! I am thinking that we shouldn't decorate the box right as it sounds like the box really doesn't last that long? Like the Nemo found the Fridge name! |

I will find some unique BIG stickers to put on the box for the time it does last so it is easier to find it in luggage services if it ends up there. Plus my info sticker has to go on it and the next swapper info. I will order the strap with lock and send it to DeAnna with the other stuff so she has it to put on if it goes to luggage services. Just send me a PM with the 3 digit combo so I can forward to other swappers. I think it is a great way to secure the fridge and coffeepot. I will be ordering the fridge/coffeepot this weekend and will send you all of the shipping information when I have it. Now we just have to fill the remaining times.

Well, you have just been a busy girl today...
Great Name. I'll change the Thread Name when we get a few more slots filled... I don't want to take off the dates just yet... I'll add Nemo somewhere for now... Maybe it will get a few new looks.... Or do you want that to be more insider info.??? My only concern with the lock is that it is plastic. The reviews mentioned that it could break easy... I guess if it breaks we can just go with plan B and get a cheap luggage strap... But the lock is a good idea. And just an idea for the box: a cheap roll of colorful contact paper would work and it might add some strength to the box. I use it to cover Diaper Boxes at home and use them as toy containers. They hold up really well. Nemo has found our Frig...
