My daughter actually timed our walk and from the HoJo front desk to the Disney ticket booths, it was 10 minutes 50 seconds...but she reminded me that on that day we got caught at the light crossing Harbor. The DisneyView rooms on the 7th floor have the cathedral ceiling with a cathedral window that it not covered by a curtain. We requested a room without the window, because our family is sensitive to sleeping in rooms that are not completely dark. weird, I know. We ran by Target on our first day and grabbed milk, juice, cereal, pastries, trail mix, peanut butter, etc. that we had for breakfasts, and we ate the rest of our meals in the parks, with a few late night omelettes at MiMi's. MiMi's has yummy muffins that come with all of their breakfast items, so we generally took those back to the room because the portions were so large. Enjoy your trip!

I noticed that there are many recent questions about hotels...
Does anyone else have photos and /or reviews to add?

These wonderful photos were beginning to slide back to page 8, so I thought I should bump the thread for any newbies.

This is the Carousel Inn. Its a nice place and roomy to!!
The rooms were clean, recently refurbished, they have great kids suites, and they are in a great location. I stayed here a few years ago and got to see the fire works from the breakfast room. it was awesome!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Here are some pictures of the C2 Family Suite at The Desert Inn and Suites-
We decorated the bed (or rather Mickey Mouse did) with some surprises fro the kids in our group. The hotel is plain and clean, but it has a great location and was easy for walking to the parks with toddlers. The living room area- ![]() The larger of the two rooms (the one with the microwave and fridge)- ![]() ![]() Our decorated beds- ![]() ![]() The room was perfect for our group of 7, it was nice to all be together, but to have separate areas for when the kids were napping or other people decided to stay up late. Enjoy! |

Thank, I am glad you like the bags. I actually made them though. I bought fabric and the red straps and tried to make a pattern by looking at a backpack I had from Old Navy. They turned out really great and I just got the patches at JoAnn's fabric store- they had lots of different characters and then I just cut out felt letters and sewed them on.
You could probably find plain bags somewhere and put the patches and letters on yourself without having to sew the whole bag like I did (but I had to make them small for two toddlers). |
