BUZZ,
I was wondering where exactly is this Rix Lounge? I do not remember it from our trip last summer. It appears to be quick service, but will they automatically add 10% to our tab like at the Peppermarket? We are thinking of changing to CSR, but if they don't add the gratuity that will seal the deal for me. ~Steven And, BTW, WOW! This thread is amazing.

Another question for Buzz.
We are staying at CSR in Sept. 13-18th. This will be my first time at CSR and I picked it for many reasons, mainly because of all of the information available on your website. It just looks fantastic. This will be my DH first time at WDW ever. We are taking our DS3. When I made my reservation I requested the Cabanas (no certain one) ground floor. I am hoping by the looks of the map, we will be close to a bus stop and fairly close to the main pool. Are the Cabanas fairly close to the Pepper Market as well? I would appreciate and and all thoughts you have on my room location. I am more than willing to change my request. I just want it to be enjoyable for my husband. I think I could stay in my car and be happy, but I want him to enjoy it and most of all, I want him to want to come back! Thanks!! |

Cafe Rix entrance is near the entrance to Panchitos. There is no 10% charge for anything purchased. |

Cabana 8a is close to the Dig Site (and playground) and bus stop 4 with a short walk to the main building. (Closest to the Pool) Cabana 8b and 9a are in between the 2 above. 9a has a quiet pool. Last edited by Buzz2001; 03-10-2008 at 01:20 PM. |

WE are thinking of trying this resort mainly due to the great things you all have said here. I need a king, with a roll in shower handicapped room. Do any of you happen to know what section these rooms are in the resort and how far they happen to be from the foosd court, a spa (hot tub) etc? Thanks so very much for your help.

More questions from 1st time CSR vacationer
Buzz, this is a wonderful thread and has been very helpful for me. I am planning a trip for May 13-May18, 2008. I am traveling with two other co-workers and attending Animal Care Expo at the Convention Center. Here are my questions:
1. We are reserved under special "Animal Care Expo" rates. Does this usually mean that there are certain rooms reserved, or can I still request a certain area? I am looking at the Cabana section, but have read that the Casistas are most often used for convention guests. 2. What has been your experience when traveling via Magical Express as to the travel time between MCO and CSR? We'll be arriving around noon at the airport. 3. What comes with the "wet burrito" at Pepper Market? I noticed it costs about $12 and I am hoping that includes more than just the burrito...? I'd like to try it for lunch one day. 4. Any info on purchasing convention tickets at the resort? (consdering the "after 2pm" tickets. I'm wondering if I have to purchase them in advance and pick up at will call or if I can just purchase them upon check-in at the resort? I can't wait until May 2008! Thanks in advance for your help and any other comments that DISers want to add!

It's official...this summer we're off to CSR!
This weekend, after completing a great swim season DW & I presented DD10 with a letter announcing that we will be vacationing at Coronado Springs Resort/WDW! Her first comment, following her 10 yr old shrill scream, was, "I'm going to the Pepper Market for fettucine alfredo!" (her favorite).

Hey Buzz ,great site. We are booked for CSR for the first week in May. I know you must get tired of hereing this but I need a room location suggestion . My husband has bad knees and we are not bringing the cart this time , just going to rent from the parks , really need something close to a bus stop and near and elevator or ground floor. With your expertise, I thought you could make a great recommondation!
Thanks Boundin

Cabana 8a & 8b are close to the Dig Site (and playground) and bus stop #4 with a short walk to the main building. (Closest to the Pool) Casita 5 has some nice fountain and lake views and is close to the Dig Site but farther from the main building. Close to bus stop #2. Rancho 6a is close to bus stop #3 but far from everything else. Make your room request as soon as you make your reservation. It’s never too early. |

Cabana 9b is close to bus stop 1 and the main building with a short walk to the Dig Site (main pool) over the wooden bridge. Most convenient location and most preferred. Cabana 8a is close to the Dig Site (and playground) and bus stop 4 with a short walk to the main building. (Closest to the Pool) Cabana 8b and 9a are in between the 2 above. 9a has a quiet pool. Ranchos 7b has a quiet pool, is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a bit longer walk to the main building. 7b is behind cabana 8a. Casita 1 is attached to the main building and is very close to the restaurants. Casita 3 has great courtyard and fountain views but you will have to walk or ride the internal shuttle to get to the pool. Casita 5 has some nice fountain and lake views and is close to the Dig Site but farther from the main building. Close to bus stop #2. Make your room request as soon as you make your reservation. It’s never too early. |

1. We are reserved under special "Animal Care Expo" rates. Does this usually mean that there are certain rooms reserved, or can I still request a certain area? yes, you can request any area of the resort. I am looking at the Cabana section, but have read that the Caistas are most often used for convention guests. Convention guests are placed all over. The casita section has the most rooms of all the sections so it just works out that most guests end up there. 1,024 (43 suites) casita rooms, 624 ranchos rooms and 316 (3 suites).
2. What has been your experience when traveling via Magical Express as to the travel time between MCO and CSR? We'll be arriving around noon at the airport. I've never used ME. 3. What comes with the "wet burrito" at Pepper Market? I noticed it costs about $12 and I am hoping that includes more than just the burrito...? I'd like to try it for lunch one day. It's a large burrito stuffed with beef or chicken. ![]() 4. Any info on purchasing convention tickets at the resort? (considering the "after 2pm" tickets. I'm wondering if I have to purchase them in advance and pick up at will call or if I can just purchase them upon check-in at the resort? I've never stayed at CSR as a convention guest. I'm pretty sure you can purchase when you are there because I've seen fliers in the room. |
