Which is better, October or November?
Hi, very new here!
We're looking to go in Oct or Nov - either Oc 5-12 or Nov 9-16. Which month is better as far as the parks being less busy, less crowded, faster lines, etc. Also the weather -- which is better Oct or Nov? THANKS! |

For the past 3yrs my family and I have gone in October and loved it. It is warm enough to go swimming, not humid and the crowds are not bad. We love visiting MNSSHP and Epcot for the Food & Wine festival. Hope this helps.

The Food and Wine festival is in Epcot. I know it runs in October and part of November. You would need to check the WDW web site on specific dates. In the World Showcase they have various booths set up near each country for you to sample food, beer and wine for a smaller fee than eating a sit down dinner. It is very nice to try different foods from the different countries.

If you avoid Thanksgiving week, Nov or Oct should be similar. October may offer opportunities for MNSSHP, which our family really enjoyed. Also, if it may work for you and you have not considered the first 10 days of December, they are great! Typically moderate traffic levels and all of the holiday fun (inc MVMCP) in the early part of Dec!

Our other option was dec 6-13 which is when dh really wants to go - but that would mean taking the kids out of school 5 days instead of the 3 in october.
what is MNSSHP?? Im new here, dont know what all the abbrev mean. Is it still warm to swim in dec? |

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. I've never been in October but I've seen pictures!! The park is decorated with a Halloween theme (but not scary). Guests dress up in costumes and they can trick or treat. It does cost extra though. There's a "sticky" thread at the top of this board called "A list of common abrreviations". The disboards have sooooo much information you can spend months on here and still not know everything. Very knowledgeable and friendly group. Enjoy

we went this year, the week right after thanksgiving. it was GREAT!! the crowds were minimal, the weather was great (we swam almost every day), and the parks and hotels were decorated for christmas. we went to mickey's very merry christmas party (MVMCP on here), which was great. you have to buy tickets for it, about $40, but the park is only open to ticket holders from 7-12, and the rides are open and there's a great parade.
i think any time in october, november (not thanksgiving week), and the first 2 weeks in december are great! have an awesome time!! and welcome to the boards! |
