we stayed at CSR this past Sept. My dh when out one morning to get coffee..when he came through the door he was white as a ghost..apparently on his way back he crossed paths with an armidillo (sp?) He was totally freaked out because, as he put it, 'the things nails were clicking on the concrete'

We are from NE so clearly we are not exactly familiar with these critters..
. I can totally see my dh pinned against the wall letting it go by..

Boy, this thread was meant for me! I'm always taking pictures of the birds, animals, etc. that I encounter at WDW. These are a few from one trip-
Common Moorhen at DHS-

The many Ibis's by Casey's Corner

Seagull at MK-

Unfortunately, I could never get a picture of the Cooper's Hawk I saw every morning at BCV, but I've got lots of others from other trips.

I don't have any pictures but we also saw a turtle in the river a POR. I've also seen Armadillo along the side of the road on the way to FW and also a family of raccoons crossing the street one morning. We have also seen so many deer along the side of the roadways in WDW that we are sure that Disney plants them there as decor! Just have a look under the monorail lines in the morning and at dusk.

This cute little brown bunny was waiting for us at Pop after we got back from MVMCP in Dec 2006. He was like our own little greeting committee as we walked back to our room around 1:00 a.m. How did he know we were hoping to see a bunny on our trip?

This cute little bunny greets me everyday when I get home! (Sorry - I couldn't post a bunny picture without including one of my own little fluffheads!)

iam impressed you got a picture of those fish. they tend to stay where you can't see them.

I have seen an armadillo , wild pigs, deer, turkeys, gators, snakes. and other typical animals of the area. most of these are from driving around, so no pictures.

We saw a baby gator near the dock at MGM. I don't have a picture unfortunately, but he was gone the next day!

What, not a single person can post a picture of a palmetto bug? I would, but I'm too busy freaking out whenever I see one (and I LIVE in Florida) to grab a camera. Hehehehe.
