So we like to eat & drink...right? I have tons of food photos...my family thinks I am goofy, but I always take food pics on vacation. Clearly...I am NOT the only one!!

Thanks for posting these. I have to say that after three cruises I've actually never been to Pirate night. On our first cruise, it was cancelled because of rain and moved indoors to the atrium. We finally had the fireworks on the last sea day. On the second cruise, it was 40 degrees outside and just too cold. This time, DD crashed early after a busy day. DW and I took turns going up on deck, but we spent most of our time at the Quiet Cove. The waiters were attentive also, although it was a bit confusing for them seeing two drinks but only one person at a time.

I don't go up for Pirate Night any more. We always have the late dinner, and by the time we get there, it's too crowded anyway. We usually get a drink and sit on Deck 9 and wait for the fireworks. Then I'll go up and get some pictures. |

Well, I have to say that if I am ever fortunate enough to cruise on DCL again, I don't think I would have to watch the "show" on pirate night. I thought it was OK...it was the sail away party with a pirate theme in my opinion. I love the whole pirate theme, but the highlight for me was Mickey on the zipline and the fireworks. But I loved the excitement that seemed to fill the ship on pirate night and seeing all the characters and cruisers all dressed in the pirate garb. We watched from deck 10. So maybe it is more fun down on deck 9 if you dance and get a little more involved??
