It's a balmy 7 degrees this morning, compared to this time yesterday when it was 1 degree. I have my dog here with me in my office (at the library). She has a vet appt. later and I didn't want to leave her in the van. The library doesn't open for another hour, but we don't leave for an hour and a half, so I hope she behaves. DS is here, too, but he's busy surfing the internet, or more specifically, playing Runescape. I know where he'll be for the next hour and a half, then I'll have to pry him off!

Just off the phone with a lovely lady from Mass unemloyment!
And to my surprise, unemployment benefit rate has gone up since the last time I collected! Of course, I will be looking for employment next week while im in Florida! I was working with alot of folks from Texas and LA and I told them make sure the file for unenjoyment in Mass before they go home! Many where very thankful, as the rates are alot lower in there home states! see the rates here http://atlas.doleta.gov/unemploy/sigprojul2004.asp I also called every Business Agent and told them, I could work ! Signed up for several classes, that in the end will make me more marketable! (Construction Stuff) next is the TA class!

I was looking at real estate prices for some cities in Florida. What a difference from a couple of years ago. I wish we were ready to move south, but DH has a quite a few years before retirement, and we need the health insurance that comes with his job.

Definately upgrade to a Mac. That's all Jason and I use at home. We've never had any trouble with them. They cost a little bit more, but I think it's worth it.
So it's all my fault that we were on page 3? What was I supposed to do respond to my own post? We never get airfare deals like that either. We probably could if we drove 2 hours to either Nashville or Birmingham, but when you factor in gas and parking it's not much of a savings. Peter, did I miss something? I thought you were getting to keep your job?

For the last 2 cruises, we drove 3 hours to Indy for the best airfare. We're 3 hours from Chicago, 3 hours from St. Louis, and 3 hours from Indy. We used to get fairly good deals from Bloomington, IL, 1 hour away, but they no longer have direct flights to where we want to go. Still, every time we think of the 2-day drive, we opt for the 2-hour flight instead.

Happy New Year everyone!
Wow, I stopped getting email notifications for some reason and didn't think anyone was posting......then I find I have 3 pages to read! Welcome to the new people! Peter: so glad I get to see you next week! I'll be cheering behind the Poly until John, Jenn and a few other WISH people pass by. Then I have to hightail it over to the finish line and catch them all again. Martinis, Mojitos, whatever......count me in!

If you're anywhere near an Apple Store I'd go talk to them. They'll be able to help you with anything. We're finally getting one here and I can't wait.

Angie...I have your info updated on the list
Today it was 14 degrees in AL..at the airport...and I was there taking grandma there for her flight back home to FL. I've never been so cold in my life!!! I am a Floridian...born and raised there (I have only moved to AL to be close to my father who was diagnoised with terminal cancer ...on my ds bday no less. ) I never thought I'd leave the warmth of FL. I know it is warm here in AL too...but this is just nuts!! The least it could do is snow if it is this cold so I can finally see snow!!! Jenn/Peter...we'll just miss you guys! We are flying to Orlando for DH bday to visit his family 1/18-1/21. We will be able to sneak away for a few hours on 2 different days to visit Disney(his family is about 30-40 mins away)...I'll take what I can!!!

I bought my daughter the new Celine CD for Christmas. I'm a big fan, but quite frankly, we really don't care for this one too much. Plus, she looks hideous on the CD cover. I don't know what she was thinking with that very weird make-up....she is much prettier than that.
Jenn, what are you going to be wearing on race day? I want to know so I can spot you. I'll be cheering just past the Poly and then again at the finish. I'll have on my green WISH shirt. You and your lady friends, please take care of John!
