OUCH! Sorry to hear about that, Denise!

A big reason why I chose this sailing is because it will give us one week after returning before classes start. Hopefully you will get home on time and everybody will be able to rest well on Sunday!

wow....24 hours...and so many posts!
Glad to hear you guys are getting great rooms...sometimes wondering if it it worth taking the risk and hoping ( or paying) for an upgrade...but i am notoriously unlucky in these things...so i just decide what we would like and book it! mind you i cant complain...our rooms where a great price! Teir 1 pricing...gotta love it!

well...i have packed the bulk of our stuff...bulk being the operative word! two huge suitcases...with smaller suitcases inside...and another one with all our FE stuff in! might make it easier for customs...and easier for us to explain...half hundred weight of shortbread...toy parrots....etc etc...

Just NY trip...one night in Fl....then we are good!
I got a new formal frock...which will be fine with my red shoes

...half what it should have been...

...but then came out of the shop to discover ANOTHER shop...with a sale on

...so spent the difference on a gorgeous dress for my DD! If I where 3 sizes smaller i would probably still be in there shopping

so, just a small list of stuff to get before we fly....and our scout camp too ofcourse

. we have been buying a few bit for this too...we got a minibus today

Alas, the life of the family with both parents working.

10 weeks of summer break - 8 weeks of camp = 2 weeks that Mommy and/or Daddy have to take off.

Might as well go on vacation! Although, I don't recall why I we picked the second week over the first week.

Just wondering- if you dont want to dress for formal night where can you eat??? DH really does not want to dress up...should I just get him room service?? LOL!! Is there somewhere else to eat that night besides your assigned dining room??

Formal dress is not compulsory, although some people like to dress up others like myself don't, some like myself wear shirt & tie, some even more casual. Pic below of last formal night we did on Magic, I will dress similar this time.
If you Google Disney cruise formal night you get loads opinions on dress, majority say similar to this thread http://www.passporterboards.com/foru...mal-night.html
Wear what you are comfortable with, if you want to go formal do if not don't. Your other option is the buffet, personally I think is fine for lunch but not evening meal.

Dave, magnets look great, should be some well decorated doors to look at.

Hello everyone! We have 2 cabins. Booked Cat. 11, chose to upgrade to Cat. 9 guarantee about 3 weeks ago on our own, no one called us. Have not been contacted to upgrade for a fee. Dont' think we will, but am wondering if there are others on this cruise that are still in guarantee status? I check twice a day! Obsessed, yes I am. Thanks!

We are still at gyt, too. Dcl did call us to upgrade from 11 to cat9. We asked if we could upgrade to a veranda. We are still waiting fro answer.

didn't want to take the chance though. We paid the upgrade fee from 11-9. Really wanted the window. Good to know there is someone else in guarantee like us. We would love a verandah too. Just e-mailed our TA to see what she knows. We are stuck with 2nd seating too and am working hard to have this changed. Will try once onboard also.

Dave, love all of the magnets!! You seem to really be getting in the spirit.

I have to start working on them soon. I ordered the magnetic sheets today.

I just started putting things aside to pack, last night. I'll get the suitcases out on Wednesday when my little head case of a dog is at the groomer. (She really gets upset when she sees them). And I'll have to hide them in my closet.

I can't believe how close we are getting!! Hope everyone gets their room assignments soon. Have a nice day!!
