wayne...fyi (well the webpage!) we have names! Fluffy Bunny=David, Maza=Maria, DD15=Juli and DD13=Lucy. our cabin numbers are 7531 and 7532..we think...its something like that! Also travelling with us is my DMum=Jane and DBrother=Robert. (cabin 7534) Ages will remain undisclosed! It is enough that i have teenage children without admitting i was not a child bride!
its been fairly quiet here, although the weather today has been stunning...a real summers day, only in the UK.I had the roof off my car for the first time since last May... ironically, in Scotland, some 250 miles north of us, they are having the best ski season they have had for 20 years! It will probably snow here tomorrow! I have been out on my bike...the dog came with me, and was not too impressed at having to run to keep up! back to walking tomorrow! 30 mins x2 on a bike and my a*** is already killing me! mmmm...lol DH and the girls are off to Wales on Friday, a school trip, billed as wet and windy weekend! They will be kayaking and learning to Windsurf.. Id rather do it in the Caribbean not the solent, but they are looking forward to it. I shall be earning a crust whilst they play in the water...poor me Oh...welcome Bellbud cruising on DCL is the dogs...you will love it!and another oh...a picture of my 'boy'

Turning Injuries :( into Fun :)
Sorry to hear about the hand injury. On the bright side it might make for a good story with religious implications.
I have some scars on my back that as a swim instructor, I was tired of telling kids what they were. So my new story was that I was an assistant tiger feeder at the zoo, and one day I turned my back on the beast... Oh and then there was the time that the knife thrower's assistant was sick at the circus and I was picked to be the helper for a show. My weight was different than her's and the wheel spun differently, not the thrower's fault he hit me...

I have added a few links, 3 webcams where the Magic sails, links to wiki for locations. Anymore suggestions? www.astersflorist.co.uk

I just got back from a scout outing with Marina. We went to a local park to a nature musuem. The girls learned all about worms, frogs and their different sound, birds and nests, and small mammals.
Who would of thought that the girls would LOVE the taxidermy(sp?) animals? They had to take turn holding them. Erik and Matt drove 2 hours one way to help a friend move their piano. They left early this morning. Tomorrow we get to clean out our garage. We are getting a new garage door on Wed. and everything needs to come down from the rafters. I went and visited my grandparents on Thursday. My grandma just turned 80 and my grandpa is 84. Marina ended up spend two nights over there and I picked her up this morning. I try to visit them as often as I can because I don't know how much longer they will be around. My granpa gets moody. He will tell me not to bring the kids over because it will too hard for them when they die. I yell at him over it. He has out lived all of his brothers and sisters and most of their friends. My grandma makes me promise that if she can't take care of herself to make sure she is put into a nursing home. She does not want to be a burden on anyone. She ended up taking care of her mother and it was very hard on her. My great- grandma died after I graduated from high school. I just read somewhere that a company can take ashes and turn them into diamonds. We were joking and I told her to put in their will that their ashes would go to me to be made into a pair of diamond studs. That got them laughing. What a morbid subject. Sorry |

st. somewhere - that is great that both of your grandparents are still alive. My DH & I have no living grandparents and we just lost my MIL 3 months ago to breast cancer.

My MIL had breast cancer a few years ago. She worries about it all the time. I know it can be difficult. My FIL had prosate cancer just after she got done with chemo. I am concerned about DH since it runs in the family. I am very forunate to have my grandparents alive. I lived with them most of my life. We have a very close relationship. I think of them more as my parents and they also refer to themselves as my parents. I will be devasteted when they do. I call them almost everyday. If I haven't be down in a while, they call and complain. My cousin lives about 5 minutes away and his wife and younger son go down on Tuesdays and Thursdays for coffee. I live about 35 minutes. When I go and visit, they want me to stay at least 2 hours -otherwise we complain. Sometimes it gets difficult to find 3 hrs in a day to go. DH's grandma is 85 and my other grandma is 75. |
