Hey everybody,
Only 25 days until boarding! It seems like we will be losing some people in the next couple of weeks to the start of their vacation. I get the impression this thread will be very quiet the week before we board. When does everyone leave? We leave Friday, August 21. See ya real soon!

We will no doubt be giving Mickey $160 for 16 days internet access so will still be on before bed most evenings.

We are leaving on Friday the 14th. This year unfortunately we probably won't hit any of the Disney parks, but we'll get as many of the other theme parks as we can.
During the Superbowl last January I saw an advertisement for Universal Orlando offering a free seven day park hopper pass to the first 100,000 people who register on their website, limit one per address. We received ours in March, so we only need three more tickets for those theme parks. I'm looking forward to the Simpsons ride! |

I'll have Internet access - and an iPhone - where we're staying, so I'm sure I'll still be dropping into DIS from time to time, to see what's new. Our Fish Extender is finished, we've picked up a few little bits and pieces in London as gifts, and packing starts imminently. Suffice to say, excitement levels are building in our household! |

Is anybody here in a deck 1 cat 9? I would really like to see the portholes on that deck if anybody here has one of those cabins. And if we end up in heavy weather, I would really love to look out one of those deck 1 portholes at the waves!
Of course, I hope we don't hit bad seas. Seasickness would turn my wife off of cruising, and a ship full of puking passengers is not pleasant - In southern California I experienced that on a crossing to Catalina island. |

She's completely fine now, thank you Wayne. She came down with it on Tuesday evening, and by Friday you wouldn't think there had ever been anything wrong. Providing you're not part of the tragic minority to get complications, it really isn't something serious. A lot of the panic has been media-induced, and it's been blown up into something far worse than it actually is!
