I have been dreaming about the Poly since my first trip to WDW in 1981. I think we might actually splurge next May to fulfill one of my dreams. I have the best DH.

Anyway, please post your Poly pics to keep me dreaming for the next 8 months! J.C.&ALI'SMOM and Seaspray, I hope you two won't mind posting more of your pics. I just love them.

No rules for this thread. No limit per day. Just post away!

There are days (like today) that the only thing keeping me going is thinking about the Poly... Hope this helps!

The last one is not my best shot (inexperience on new camera and working on 2nd Mai Tai), but it's the ELP from our room

I'll try to find it for you, but there is already a thread for Poly only pictures. I just found it in my usercp. It's call Polynesian Picture Thread!! Imagine that. I guess you could do a search for it & subcribe so you can bump it up.

You are kidding. I have spent more hours on this board than I should share with anyone who doesn't understand the obsession, and I have never come across it. Sometimes the search function doesn't work so well for me. I will give it a try. Thanks.

Make that the EWP (Electrical Water Pageant). ELP is Emerson, Lake, and Palmer and that is different...

It was May 2001 and our first big Disney World family vacation. We were doing a split stay between CBR and the Grand Floridian (this trip was my DH's and DSs' first time ever to WDW and my first time ever to stay onsite), and during a trip to the Polynesian to have dinner at the Kona Cafe we decided to check out the resort to see if we'd be interested in staying there on a future trip, so after dinner we walked out the back of the resort towards the then-brand-new volcano pool and saw these views:

Right then and there, we KNEW this was the resort for us!

Little did I know back then that most of my future WDW trips would be spent there!

We would just watch the monorails go by every few minutes. I loved this view!
