Thanks for that! I remember seeing that picture when it first started cicrulating but hadn't seen the update at Snopes verifying that it was true.

I remember this one years ago!

You're right, I always assumed it (like Snopes apparently did) to be a standard Photoshop type of deal.

I thought it was fake too the first time I saw it too!

I can't believe HD actually put that on their car. That's what made me think it was faked.

They went to buy supplies in Waldorf to take to Annapolis?

I wonder how many Home Depots, Lowes, and 84 Lumbers they passed on the way.

That's at least an hour drive.

But this was back in 2001 ( I think) so maybe there weren't that many around like today. But still... see my tag.

Maybe they had to drive to Waldorf because all the other stores in between wouldn't load thier car!!! I know there is a Home Depot in Annapolis but I can't remember when it was built. And in Bowie there is a Lowes and HD right across the street from each other. They had been there 8 or 9 years now, I think, by the Bowie Baysox Stadium.

Between 1995 and 1998. That's when I worked for a carpet company in their area rug division doing new store sets and resets, and I helped set the Annapolis HD.
