Is Tutto Italia really better than Olive Garden
You might have seen in other posts that I have been going back and forth on this restaurant. Now I am wondering is it really better than olive garden? On another thread (http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2990302), I saw a picture of the bread they serve at Tutto Italia, and really to me the bread at Olive Garden looks much much better. Has anyone else compared this. I really love Olive Garden, but I am kind of scared to try Tutto Italia because I am afraid I will be disappointed with the quality. Please let me know if you really think TI is better than olive garden, and also about the bread in both places to?

I really wouldn't even compare the 2. IMO, TI dishes seem more traditional. I like OG as well, but I would choose TI over it any day of the week. I honestly don't remember a thing about the bread because I don't waste tummy room with it when there is something better coming. I have a couple pics, but apparently I've never posted one because I have no idea how.

We ate at TI a couple of years ago. It was the absolute worst restaurant we have eaten on Disney property with the possible exception of San Angel Inn a few months ago. However; I loathe Olive Garden also, though I love Italian food, near home I would much much rather have Carrabbas or Buca di Deppo if I was eating chain Italian.
Have you considered Via Napoli, it's actually quite good.

You can not compare the two. As a first generation Italian living in the Connecticut area we are spoiled with authentic great Italian restaurants all around us. There are olive gardens but would not step foot in them. Tutto Italia is as good if not better then any of the best Italian restaurants up here. Tutto Italia is one of my favorite restaurants on the property.

Canadian here but lived in Italy. Much better than Olive Garden.. but not like you are in Italy. You are still in a theme park in the United States. I think most of the food in the World Showcase would be the same, not as good as if you were in the actual country, but better than a chain. We've eaten there 3 times and enjoyed it very much each time.
![]() Can't comment on the bread. It wasn't bad enough or good enough to stand out. It's filler. |

TI is quite an improvement over OG. Via Napoli pizza is good, but I haven't tried other menu items there.

Better than OG but DH & I prefer Magginos and Carrabbas. I was turned off by the fact our dinners were out too fast. I am sure they were not anywhere near cooked to order and at that price point they should be .

I agree you can't compare the two.
Totally different flavors. I can say that Olive Garden is a favorite along with Maggianos. Tutto Italia, is very good. I think you should try it. You will not be disappointed. We haven't tried Via Napoli, yet, but I hear wonderful things and it is on our list for our upcoming trip.

My DH and I think TI is much better than OG. We honeymooned in Italy and found TI to much more like authentic cuisine we had there. We also found the staff to be very warm and friendly, great with young kids.

Olive Garden is pretty much the epitome of bad chain Italian food. I don't mean this in a mean way but if you really think Olive Garden is great quality you might want to avoid some of the upscale restaurants because for the price it might not be suitable for your tastes
