I had $22 in survey rewards that were going to expire tomorrow. I cashed in $30 for 50 air miles.
And after completing the transaction, I browsed through AM's deals section and came across the AM Blue Lounge. Anyone else already know about this? I did not until this afternoon. I just spent $65 on ordering 2 gift cards and will receive 3 regular AM plus 35 bonus AM. For money I was going to spend anyways this month at Cineplex and Kernels. I'm happy. ![]() Quote:
We plan on taking the kids to see Big Miracle, Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, and The Secret World of Arrietty this month. I just ordered a $50 cineplex card. That will cover five adult admissions for my husband & I. And this month is my daycare kids lucky month. I don't often buy them sugary cereal (which they *always* ask for) but tomorrow they will find they hit the jackpot. General Mills is offering a free child's cineplex admission on their cereal boxes good for February. I need 6 kids tickets for those movies, so yesterday I purchased 6 boxes. They can have a bowl 2 days a week but better eat their healthy breakfast the rest of the week with no complaints.

Metro had bonus 100 air miles with $100 spent last weekend and tomorrow they are doing 95 air miles with $95 spent. Maybe we're finally going to see shades of Safeway!!! Sure hope so.
I'm pleased to say that I was able to gain the air miles I needed and more for our May trip to Florida. I received the three Universal 1 day/1 park tics (2250 air miles) I ordered on Monday night, yesterday! Yes, only took two days to get here. ![]() I will say that I applied myself and it was a fair amount of work however well worth it as it saved us almost $300 for those tics! I did a combination of Metro, LCBO, Rexall, airmiles.ca, air miles blue lounge (bonus 100 for $100 of Boston Pizza gc's) got the bonus credit card points and two months worth of statement points. I didn't buy anything that we would not use and stocked up on a number of things. One of the first weeks in mid-January had Shreddies on at Metro (15 am's for every two bought on sale) and DS just opened the last box yesterday. I definitely did a lot of flyer trolling and had my lists at the ready when going to the store. I'm a Gold member as you only need 1000 air miles for that and not just base, bonus counts to this status as well. There were several surveys and other opportunities for feedback where I gained miles as well as 100 points for signing up for the Safeway newsletter. My DSis lives in Winnipeg, so she signed me up for the card. I'll use it eventually when I go to visit her. I know there are a lot of people who have been collecting far longer than I have who are not pleased with the recent changes to the program, however I'm glad I finally joined. I hope the most recent Metro changes signal more improvements to come.

Don't forget now that Air Miles has a new policy of the miles expiring after five years too.
