Wigs in Disney
Has anyone had an experience with wearing a wig in disney? Long story short - I have cancer and lost my hair when I got sick after a chemo round. My hair is growing back and I have almost an inch of hair now. I am not really comfortable going without a wig on and I wonder about the rides like the Tower of Terror, etc. I am trying to be brave and go on rides I normally wouldn't.

Leaving tomorrow - I will try to post an update when I return to let everyone know if I had any issues myself and if the wig came off on the rides or not!

good luck. I was going to say that a wig might be hot and sweaty, but if you are used to it then wear it. As for it staying on during rides I have no clue. My best friend lost her hair a few years ago from stupid chemo. She thought she couldn't live bald so we got her 2 wigs. She never wore either of them.
Would you be comfortable just going 'bald' and throwing on a baseball cap? Have a great trip! Sarah

I wear one out of choice and have never had trouble on TOT. But I hold on to it if we go on a rollercoaster like EE or Splash mountain. LOL. I don't do any of the really fast rides so I can't comment on those. I never felt that it was too hot to wear it and I've gone in April. You've already been through the bad stuff... go and have a ball.

Back from Disney ...
Well I am unfortunately back ... had a great time though!! I wore my wig for the first week and went without the last 3 days. The only time that I was worried was when I got talked into going on the Rockin Roller Coaster at DHS - the wig stayed on but was a little loose. I did not wear it on Test Track at Epcot but would have had to hold on to it when we were going around the building! Other than that - I did not have any issues with the wig or the heat. Thanks again everyone for the advice!!

I'm glad it went well for you! When I had to wear a wig I would take it off on the rides I was afraid it would come off on and go bald. When I was done with the ride hubby helped me put it back on.
