DAS renewal?

Hello - we went to WDW in Oct 2013 and plan to go back in Sept 2014. One of our party had a DAS last fall. If we bring the card back next fall, do you think we will be able to show it to the CM to get it renewed at guest svcs outside of MK on the night we arrive? Just wondering if anyone has experience with getting those cards renewed on subsequent visits. Thanks!

Yes, bring the card back. There is a code on the back they can scan to bring up the associated information and re-issue the card for the new trip.

Whether or not this can be done at the Guest Relations outside of MK may depend... conceivably, yes, but there have been reports of guests directed to the inside Guest Relations location for DAS. This seems to occur if the outside location has a lot of ticket issues to deal with.

Enjoy your vacation!

WDW and DL vet here. I am bringing my DL card to WDW in sept, along with Dr. note.

I might have packed it already..........

1) Forget the doctor note.
2) Guest Services is not permitted to look at it.
3) Thus, it will make zero difference.

It won't hurt to bring your DAS from DL, but I'm not sure the WDW and DL systems "speak" to each other, so be prepared to explain your needs again at WDW.

As for the dr. note... Guest Relations likely will refuse to look at it. You will have to explain your needs; a note from a physician has no bearing on whether or not a DAS is issued - and in fact it can be detrimental if you are relying on that note as your "proof" but then can't explain your needs yourself. If you prefer to write your own note, that is fine and works for many people who find it difficult to discuss their needs with strangers.

Enjoy your vacation!
