I would downplay the pillows. I found that a consistent, firm surface worked way better than "Fluff." You may want to ask her Dr. about a mild sedative or sleep aid or even Benadryl to help her over the hump with sleeping--but for me, it wasn't much of an adjustment.

DD15 went for her 6 month follow up appointment and learned that she only has to wear her brace while sleeping!

They x-rayed her curve, which was either the same or a little better and they also x-rayed her wrist to see how much growing she has left. Apparently, she is almost done growing, so no more wearing the brace 14-18 hours a day!

She was so excited, especially since we were expecting a year or two of wearing the brace. Now we can have fun with shopping for back to school clothes.

Hooray for your dd! My curve was so bad, well I actually had 2, I got to skip the brace and go right to the operating room!

Have fun shopping with your dd
