1 contract all hotels?

Sorry for all my questions, thanks for all the replies.

Is it possible to buy all the resorts put them on 1 contract?

Buy 12 contracts all different resorts same UY, say 20 pts on each.

Would you be allowed to put all 240 points and resorts on 1 contract so you can have 11 months everywhere?

Or are all home resorts 1 contract each?

And if so, would okw points transferred to akv contract count for 11 month use at akv? Or would the transferred points be only good for 7 month reservation?

Thanks again.

No, they won't let you buy 12 contracts of 20 points each. The minimum contract purchase is 25 points and that's only for an add-on after already having a contract. Although you could possibly buy a 25 point contract resale for your initial contract.

Even if you could buy a few points at all the resorts, it wouldn't do what you want. It's what you said at the end, all points retain original home resort booking requirements when transferred. So, using your example you transferred 25 from your OKW contract to your AKV contract, they are still OKW points just now in your AKV contract and could be combined with your AKV points for reservations 7 months out.

If you bought at all 12 resorts and had them all titled exactly the same with the same UY you would have 1 membership # but each contract is individual. It would work the way you want only at 7 months when a point is a point.

11 versus 7 month booking window has the simple rule that only points for a particular resort can be used to reserve at that resort 11 months out and the rule is not relaxed for a member just because he owns two resorts. If the rule were otherwise everyone would buy hundreds of SSR points, 25 (the minimum add-on amount) at BCV (or BWV or BLT), and effectively destroy the 11 month booking advantage that any real owner of BCV has.

Disney is one smart company and they have covered all of the bases when it comes to making money with the DVC.

If you want to be an owner and have a guaranteed reservation at a particular resort any time of the year you will need to buy there.

You can use banking and borrowing to double up your points but you still need pretty large contracts to make it work.

This one isn't just about Disney making money (though they are quite good at it) - this is what is fair to the owners at the resorts. I would be really upset paying my BWV dues every year on my 150 points if the benefits of getting a standard room for a week at Food and Wine was diminished by owners who owned 25 BWV points, and 200 SSR points.

This idea doesn't work cause it basically renders the home resort advantage useless unless you going on a long trip and split stay a new resort every day .

You would be better off just getting your home resort advantage at a place you want to be and wing it at 7 months for everywhere else .

It would work depending on how you travel. 25 points per resort, bank & borrow for a few resorts per trip (giving enough points to spend at least a few night per resort, some would give more nights, such as BWV cheapest point studio). Those points would be used up for 3 years worth of points, so you could then do the same with the other resort's points and stay at those resorts... a rotation. You'd likely be doing split stays or several shorter trips, but it'd work, all with 11 month booking priority, and points left over could be combined at 7 months to use at any resort with availability (with the option of one-time use points purchased also).
