I like both Canon Powershots and Sony Cybershots. I've been leaning more towards Sony lately.

I have several that I use. I have an Olympus Stylus 850SW that is a waterproof camera. I've had it for almost 5 years now and love it! It's my camera that I use when I go on water rides, go to the beach and go in the pool. Very small to carry with you. Fits in my back pocket.

I also have a Canon one that is really my husbands and he loves his. I steal it every now and then. And then I have a Canon Powershot SX160 IS. Just got that for my birthday and love it! I will be taking this one to the world with us when we go since I don't want to lug my DSLR around this trip!

This is the same camera I have. I bought mine about a month ago at Best Buy. They had them on clearance.

My favorite was my Kodak Easyshare which recently had it's demise. It took really clear and crisp pictures. I have a Fuji Finepix underwater camera I use all the time for my food blog. It doesn't always focus right away which can be frustrating. But it's good for the kitchen where I am constantly spilling food on it. I did take it to Disney with us and you can see how the Fuji takes pictures there.

Thanks

I got gift cards for Christmas and wanted a new camera. I posted here and combed through the recent threads on several boards for reviews. The picture quality is incredible and people comment on it all the time. Price point and ease of use were perfect for me, and I love the 20X zoom. Seriously I can give this camera a ringing endorsement.

ETA) It says what it is in the Amazon link.. but to put it in the thread ..it's the Canon SX260HS

What model did you buy? I just bought the Nilon Coolpix S6500 at Costco for $179. It shoots pics and HD video and has a wifi setting so it uploads pics to my phone and ipad and I can upload to facebook. I need to experiment more with it, but so far so good.

Sony Cyber shot waterproof. It is drop proof and very durable.

The first point and shoot I ever purchased was a Canon Elf. Didn't last very long and was just okay. After that I got a Sony Cybershot. Again, just okay. But now I have the Nikon Coolpix s8200 and it's great. Easy to use, compact and takes great pictures.

I have the coolpix S3500. Pictures are blurred and color isn't acurrate. I thought I was getting a good midrange camera but I think I'm going to step up to a better one.
