I am currently using SWV and am wishing I just booked the trip myself. I could have gotten the exact same deal using the Disney website, and the agent only emails me if I have a specific question I have asked her - she has never offered anything "above and beyond" for me to want to use their service again. When she booked my trip the first time she got the dates wrong, it's a good thing I noticed it. Also, her emails seem very rushed; one time I emailed her and asked 2-3 questions and she replied with an answer to only one. Next time I will NOT use them.

I used SMV, Kathy Atchue, and she was about $371 cheaper than when I priced it myself on Disney.com. Her quote also came in about $200 lower than AAA. I'm going May 7-13th if that makes any difference. I'm very happy with her. She's super quick to respond, I couldn't find a better deal on my own (and I am a bargain hunter), and I'm very happy with them.

I have used AAA several times and am trying SWV this time. My AAA TA retired just before I left on my trip last year. She was good always got me the adrs I wanted, would look for good airfare, etc. The TA she turned me over to was NOT a Disney person. I ended up giving HER information.
When I picked up my Mickey Mail she said that there was something in there about something called photopass! I had to explain what it was and that I had already purchased it with a discount. I do like the extras that AAA has like the story time, preferred fireworks viewing and 10% off shopping discount. So far SWV has been good. I haven't seen any extras, but we are still a ways from getting our Mickey Mail! She has answered my questions and made my changes. I did end up making my own adrs and plane reservations.

I got a AAA quote, a quote myself on the website, and then a TA quote - and the TA saved me a LOT of money vs the other 2 quotes.

Don't know about AAA. Had recieved lots of quotes from ta's (including swv) and was not very impressed with them. Magical vacations will be able to give you deals no one else can. But who I really recommend is Nathan at pixie vacations. We have never been to Disney and are waffling about going this year. He has given me a lot of time and answered my many questions and e mails.

If you want to use an agent, go with SWV. I say that because my own experience with AAA has been, well, a little dicey - not that they've done anything wrong necessarily, but some instances of less-than-competent staff left me very wary of leaving my vacation in their hands. I maintain an AAA membership solely for merchant discounts these days, unfortunately.
If you don't want to book things yourself, SWV isn't at all a bad choice from what I've heard. |

I used AAA when we went to WDW. The cool thing is if you book at a certain rate because you are trying to lock in a room and if the rate changes (a discount) all you have to do is call in and they will make the adjustment. We got free dining like this!!!

We used SWV and loved them. They looked for offers and codes the whole time and we did not have to cal to get the deal..they just applied it for us. Very user friendly and nice .

AAA Travel Agent
If you do use AAA be sure to ask for a Disney Specialist. They have agents who have completed Disney Trainings and specialize in booking Disney vacations. These are the agents you want to work with.

I am a AAA TA, specializing in Disney vacations. So I may be biased, but you don't have to be a AAA member to enjoy the benefits. The parking pass, the discount card, Wishes viewing, AAA room rates and the story time experience are all neat little extras.
To be fair, I've heard great things about Small World Vacations. good luck and I'm sure you will have a super vacation no matter what!

We have used Kathy Atchue from Small World Vacations for 2 WDW trips, 1 Disney Cruise and just planned another WDW trip for Oct with her. She's great- always gets back to me right away and very knowledgable about Disney. I don't know as though she gets us a better price than anyone else (i think they all run the same) but she will let me know as soon as discounts come out for a booked trip and "rework" my reservation to get me the discount.

We use AAA however it does matter on the individual TA you use. Some are know more than others when it comes to Disney. I have actually taught a couple of them over the trips in the past. Check out all your options thats what I do. Enjoy!

I booked everything myself and then sent my local AAA office my exact itinerary and they couldn't come close to matching the price.
