First time poster, but lurking for a few months. Taking the kids (11, 9, 6) over Thanksgiving. I expect crowds but oldest is getting too old to pull from school for a week. Staying at Bonnet Creek. Booked through VS for $240 less than AoA (without dining) per night. Couldn't pass up the deal and the amount of space available. We are hard-core theme park goers, so, even with younger kids, we do not return to the hotel during the day. If we are in Orlando, we will be at a park. We will take 2 days for Universal, as the kids are pumped about Harry Potter and buying a wand.

Right now we are booked for AoA lion king suite. It will be myself, my husband, and our 3 kids DD6, DS3, and DD 22months. I would have liked to stay at AKL but I decided that I'd rather have the space that the suites provide. Besides I think the kids are gonna flip when they see the lion king and cars sections (huge fans of both)! Still trying to decide about the dinning plan. Don't know if it makes sense for our family or not.Kind of nervous about taking the baby. Anybody have experience taking a toddler? |

We took our three 9, 7, & 2 last August. It was a blast, so much we are booked again for November! Our youngest was a trooper, kept up with the big two, and had a blast. She asks at least weekly when we are going back and every time a commercial comes on she is super excited.
Being the third she's pretty chill, she's used to being at dance, baseball, football, gymnastics...whatever, but we did make sure to take her wants into consideration, had a stroller, we rented a double stroller there because of size and middle dd has asthma we weren't sure how her asthma would be in the August heat. Both girls fit and would ride together, it made leaving much easier -getting through the crowds. My dh and I split up at some points to do rides or characters depending on kids. Ds likes thrill rides, the girls not so much so the adults took turns riding and doing things with the nonthrill seekers. We utilized rider swap. Our youngest was JUST tall enough for great Goofini but she is a tiny peanut (no meat on her bones) and we just weren't comfortable putting her on it. I know its used for too short riders, we never had her measured at Disney to test waters. We knew from appt she was right at 40", but she is SO little and CM didn't ask to measure her to give us a swap ticket when we asked they just looked at her. Enjoy your trip! We are going over Thanksgiving too! |

First time we took our DDs they were almost 2 1/2 and it was truly magical!! My DH was a little skeptical at first but they enjoyed everything we did! So many people said "oh they won't remember it" but for us it was about making a moment at that time in their lives. My niece has Cystic Fibrosis and had been sick and we all just decided to go. Priceless memories and photos that I will treasure forever from that trip!
The first time they saw Mickey in front of the castle they were jumping out of the stroller - MAGIC!! |

Thanks for all the replies everybody. It really has eased my mind. I'm sure we will be ok. Just planning on taking it slowly, taking breaks e.c.t. I just want everyone to have a good time without stressing, or having too many melt downs.
That being said, I'm really excited about this trip. Ive never been to WDW during Christmas. Looking forward to the decorations, and MVMCP. So it'll be a trip full of firsts for all of us. This fastpass+ stuff is crazy right? All the speculation and guesses are driving me crazy. Hope things have calmed down in time for our trips in november! |

We officially booked our trip yesterday!!! So excited. We did switch our resort from WL to the French Quarter. Oh and we added a day to our trip, Nov 16-24. (Can you switch that on the front page please) We need to save some $$ this trip so unless a good discount comes out we will stick with the FQ.
We have never stayed at the FQ but I choose it because of its small size and the fact that there is only one bus stop area. My biggest fear is being at a resort with terrible bus service. We plan on walking over to the Riverside to utilize a lot of their amenities. My mom is coming with us this trip so I am excited to finally be able to dine at the Garden View Tea Room. It's just one of those things that I know my guys have never had an interest in. We also plan on doing MVMCP this trip. We have never done it but decided to give it a shot this year. I hope it is worth the extra $$. |

Maybe!?
If we go in November is will be 11/23 - 12/1. Probably doing two rooms at ASMo with the ILs. FIL is wanting to do WDW. He has never been there, only DLR. His health is declining and we hope to all make it there together. We are regretting not including them in our trip this past November. The other option is to go Spring 2014. We are really just in the maybe stage of planning.
I haven't been on DIS since our last trip so it'll be interesting to see what my signature says. LOL
