Where did she claim to work? I only heard that she worked at California Pizza. I started watching the trial in depth the other day but have tons to catch up on so feel a bit lost with some of the stuff.

I'm thinking she said Cheeseburger in Paradise, but when it was checked out, there wasn't one anywhere around. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

I remember her saying California Pizza, not sure of the other one. I believe she talked about those small cuts with Det Flores in the interview tapes.

If anyone knows or runs across any information as to how long after she's found guilty the penalty phase would start, would you post it here? Maybe that's why they've told this jury this trial could last til April.

Does the jury decide that? Always? I was wondering about that. And do they know the death penalty is on the line? Makes me wonder if some jurors/juries don't want to convict on a charge that carries the death penalty, and would instead go for a lesser charge to take it off the table. Heavens to betsy with that jury. That was agonizing trying to get through that. There is one woman on that jury to this day I would love to question....

I know, I wish we'd been able to hear the jury selection!

This is what I've found so far:

Under Arizona law every person guilty of first-degree murder shall be punished by death, or imprisonment for life without the possibility of release from prison, or imprisonment for life with the possibility of release after 25 [35] years.
This hearing may include as many as two phases. During this current phase, the jury decides whether any aggravating circumstances exist. If the jury unanimously decides beyond a reasonable doubt that at least one aggravating circumstance exists, then the second phase of the hearing begins.
If the State does not prove beyond a reasonable doubt that an aggravating circumstance exists, the judge will sentence the defendant to either life imprisonment without the possibility of release, or life imprisonment with the possibility of release after 25 [35] years. If the jury unanimously decides beyond a reasonable doubt that an aggravating circumstance does exist, each juror will decide if mitigating circumstances exist and then, as a jury, you will decide whether to sentence the defendant to life imprisonment or death. If the sentence is life imprisonment then the judge will sentence the defendant to either life imprisonment without the possibility of release from prison, or life imprisonment with the possibility of release from prison after 25 [35] years.
“Life without the possibility of release from prison” means exactly what it says. The sentence of “life without possibility of release from prison” means the defendant will never be eligible to be released from prison for any reason for the rest of the defendant’s life.

And it's my understanding anyone who could not consider the death penalty was dismissed from this jury. Another thing is I don't know that any lesser charge is on the table which would increase the likelihood of a hung jury if any of them don't go with the premeditation and in absence of a lesser charge.

One of those talking heads on TruTV this morning said Jodi could be on the stand all next week (I think that's 3.5 days). I only watched it for an hour or so, I just couldn't take it anymore.

And then there's the technicality of aggravating circumstances, that's why it was so important when the ME testified Travis was shot after being stabbed/attacked with the knife, that the crime was cruel and heinous. Hell, I think the pictures speak for themselves, it was heinous! But I do understand some of these damn technicalities, that's what the damn law is about and some guilty walk.

Guys, I want to apologize if I jump all over the place with different questions.

A question….
Why did no one tape JA admitting to killing Travis? There are all those other tapes of her; one in street clothes, (wasn't that the one where she was stretching, gawd) and then the tapes with JA in the orange jump suit.
But later when JA admitted to the actual killing there was no recording of it?
