Fanstasmic lunch/dinner package

If I want to reserve the Fantasmic lunch or dinner package, may I use my Disney Dining Plan credits to do so? How many days in advance can I book this package? Is it 180 days, the same as other ADR's? (Thinking of using 2 table service credits to book the package with lunch or dinner at the Brown Derby, if allowed). Once I have received the Fantasmic pass that goes with the package, can I go to the show on any day that it's being performed? Or is the pass only good for the day that I receive it? I'm confused, because I can't seem to find the schedule of performances anywhere. So do I just book the package, get the pass, and go whenever Fantasmic is playing? (We're planning a trip in August, 2013.) Thanks for your help with this.

Yes, you can use the DDP for the Fantasmic! package. I don't remember if it was available at the 180 day mark or shortly thereafter. Your ticket for Fantasmic will be for the same day you have the meal, and you can't use it another night. Generally, Fantasmic! is shown every night (unless it's storming), and during busy times they add a second show right around park closing time. If you are going early to mid-August this is likely to be the case.

The F!DP is 2 credits per person atHollywood Brown Derby and 1 credit at Mama Melrose or Hollywood & Vine. The F!DP pass is only good for the first show in the evening and only on the day your are dining.

A lot of times the F!DP isn't loaded into the system right at the 180 day mark. You can try booking it online or you can call the dining line. Be sure you are booking the F!DP because a regular reservation at any of the 3 participating restaurants won't include the F! pass.

Thank you for the information. I'm reading that Disney has cut back on the number of Fantasmic! shows, having only 2 or 3 a week, instead of every night. I don't know if that will be the case this summer, but it makes it difficult to plan if they don't have a schedule up yet. I will call tomorrow.

They've gone back to at least once every night and twice during busier times.
