Beach Club Room Views - The DIS Discussion Forums

What will the view from my room at the Beach Club be?

Effective with reservations on January 1, 2011, the view categories at the Beach and Yacht Clubs were reclassified into 3 booking categories:

Standard view- parking lot or rooftops
Garden view- something green- trees or courtyard
Lagoon or Water view- lake or pool

The purpose of this thread is to give some samples of rooms in various view categories at the Beach Club.

Please note that we generally do not recommend that you request a particular room number for your stay at the resort, but instead let the room assigner know what is most important to you:

Full Balcony?
Close to Elevator?
Close to Lobby/Pool/Transportation?
Daybed?

If you request a particular room number, and that room is not available on the day you are checking in, the room assigner may not know the attributes of the room you want, so you may not get the room that best suits your needs.

Standard View- Standard View at the BC will look at rooftops or a parking lot.

Garden View- GV rooms at the Beach Club will have a view of something green. This could be a woods view, near the EPCOT side of the resort, or a courtyard view of the volleyball courtyard (hallway between the Marketplace and the EPCOT exit) or a courtyard view of the back entrance (lakeside) of the resort.

Water View- could be a view of Crescent Lake or one of the pools.

Room 5627.From our 2009 trip. Very similar to Dee's room.
First room out of elavator. Very close to lounge.
2 Queen Beds. No daybed. You could hear the elevators slightly.

Room 5703. Pretty sure it is classified as standard view because of large roof beneath it but it had a great view of SAB. If you like a quiet location this is NOT the room for you. ("To the left, left, left....Lifeguard party!) But we loved it!

This was our view from room 4643 in May of 2008. We got a surprise upgrade to a water view at check-in

.

I loved that I could see ToT in the distance.
