There's an Easy 5k (to get to 5k or improve your time in 7 weeks), there's and Easy 10k and there's a Half marathon version. Do you have to pay for the training plans? I run 3-5 miles per outing right now but I'm working on improving my times. Currently running 10:15 miles but trying to get down below 10 minute miles with a goal of a sub-30 minute 5k before I go back to training for distance. (I know, I'm a slowpoke.)

If you are a slowpoke, then I don't know what I am! I am running 15 minute miles now when I push it, and have only done 5k. The 5k app is 3.99 (Cdn) and the half is 9.99. Not sure about the 10k.

Yes, they offer discounts but I watched them last year and I didn't think they were anything to write home about. If you got a pin code or free dining it would be better.

I know I am kinda rare and new to this board, but if you wanna include me, I'm a virtual lock to be in the half. My ONLY way out is if this thing sells out within minutes. Gonna need a couple days to coordinate with family and plans.

For the1/2 it's just my DH. Lol. I will be lucky if my little arthritic knee will let me finish the 5k with my 9 yo DGrD. You could just replace the & with 's in front of DH for me. Lol

I have never done this, but with the late night half, if you took it easy in both races there's no reason you couldn't do it. As my buddy always says "what's stopping you."

DH and I are considering it. This is a big costly trip for us and we don't know when we will be back...and those cute medals are so tempting!! There is a lady with a blog who did both this year... And she has bad asthma. Google wine and dine blogs and you will find her, it is at www.lifesawheeze.com

I am theorizing that we could walk the 5k, collect our cool Mickey medal, go back to to room and have a rest and then prepare for the half. Even if I didn't do the 5k I would probably cover that distance just killing time! ;-)

I've always wanted to run Disney, so I'm excited at learning this is going on while we'll be there in November. Has anyone used the in room babysitting service so you could participate? I'm more of a walker, so I'd need care until the wee hours of the morning...
