17 people reservation question? - The DIS Discussion Forums

I called to make a reservation today for 19 people we are 8 adults 9 kids and they told me they could not make reservations I would have to call the restaurant directly has anyone done this? Where do I find the phone numbers for the places we would like to eat?

The only restaurants that I know of that you can call directly are the non-Disney owned ones like TRex, Rainforest Cafe, etc.

Did they give you contact information for the restaurants? I would call back and talk to a different CM.

I had to do this in Oct. 2012 for a ressie of 13 (7 adults, 5 kids, 1 infant) It was at the Yak and Yeti. Disney Dining transfered me directly and also gave me the phone number just incase we got disconnected.

In the past for Disney places they made us book through group dining. I hated this because for the most part we had to eat very early.

Yes, I've had to call some of the restaurants directly such as the Coral Reef, Artist Point, Raglan Road, LeCelier to name a few; usually Disney has given me the direct number.
When I've had difficulty getting thru directly, I've ended up making a couple of different ADRs online, and then when I finally get thru to the restaurant, I ask them to link us together (I'm not sure that is the "official" word anymore, but the manager at the Artist Point took down my numbers and said he'd do his best to seat us together).

I had to do this at Narcoossee's - Disney gave me the number but you have to talk to the Manager - I found that if I called about 45 minutes prior to the restaurant opening for the night that I was able to talk to the manager and get everything set up - there were 10 of us and we were able to all sit at one table.
