Do you want to stay on Disney Property or look at offsite locations?
Also, how old are the children?

The obvious answer would be grand villa at one of the DVC resorts, but that doesn't come cheap. Adjoining rooms is another option, but with 10 people, you'll need suites because most hotel rooms are for 4 (POR has rooms for 5 if the youngest child is small) It will depend on the ages of your party and your budget, but renting DVC points might be a good idea for one large Villa

Only one child under the age of three will not count towards occupancy. So if you have four children (you haven't said their ages), only one under three will not count towards the number of people in the room. All the rest will count.
So I am guessing nine plus one in your group. You'll need multiple rooms or at least a family suite at the AoA or All Stars plus one other standard room. Family suites hold six. Fort Wilderness Cabins also hold six. A DVC Grand Villa is going to cost a whole bunch for cash if you can even get it. They sleep twelve plus one. Six adults and four kids are really too many for even the two bedroom villas that officially sleep nine plus one.

You still are a party of nine plus one under the age of three. You'll need multiple rooms to accomodate your party.

To keep everyone together at an on-property resort, your only options would be a 2-bedroom villa at OKW, AKV or BLT, or a grand villa at any DVC resort.
To give you an idea of pricing, using AKV as an example, a two bedroom villa in October would range from about $900-1100/night. You would need to add resort tax of around 12%. A grand villa would range from $1800-$2000/night, plus resort tax. Renting from a DVC owner would significantly reduce the cost, but you'd need to book well in advance. 7-11 months out for a two bedroom, 11 months for a grand villa. And you would need to assume that you would not get your money back if you need to cancel. You can, of course, split everyone up into multiple rooms, but be aware that Disney will not guarantee connecting rooms. You'll do better price-wise offsite; check out our Orlando Hotels and Attractions board for lots of info on your offsite choices. Last edited by Lynne M; 01-21-2013 at 10:58 AM. |

Couldn't they do two connecting rooms at any level of resort? Three adults in each room and then one child in each room and then one "under three" in each room? That would keep it within the four+1 under three guidelines.
Good luck

Unless you have three couples and the couples don't want to be split up or share a room. They might do two couples in one room and one couple with all three kids in the other room. Could be crowded if they needed to set up pack and plays for the kids to sleep.
