He had no idea what was going on with himself today. Everything he'd done today had felt right, but he knew he wouldn't have done any of it if he'd been at any other school.

River: "yes, this place is great, the island the classes, our powers...." she paused "and friends" she said looking directly at Daniel smiling. She just couldn't stop smiling when she was around him.

Daniel: Daniel grinned back at her. "Yup, the friends are great. It's almost perfect here." He didn't really care anymore, he would just do what would feel right and not worry about it. River was a good friend, and if people had a problem with him holding her hand, well, that was their problem.

River: "Yeah, they are" she said still looking at Daniel. "um..." river said cautiously looking away "I wish I wasn't so afraid to show others my powers, I wish I could be like the others. But to be honest I'm still terrified, and I don't really know why."

Daniel: Daniel thought about River's predicament. "Perhaps it's your shyness. Or maybe you don't think you have very good control of your powers. Or maybe you think you'll mess up in front of everyone. I don't know. I think you're the only one who can really answer that. But I'll tell you one thing. Everyone makes mistakes. Everyone loses control sometimes, whether it's their temper, control of their situation, or, like us, control of your powers. But, if we could use our powers perfectly, none of us would be here right now, except maybe Professor Collins, because she actually lives here. I'm sure a lot of us will make mistakes. This is our first day here, no one's going to be spectacular. And I'm sure there are others who are still nervous. Even I am. I know I can hurt myself with my teleportation, it's happened before. But I know that my powers will control me if I can't get over my fear and control them, so I'm getting over my fear." He then went back to his pizza, having already eaten one slice.

River: River shrugged "I don't know," and she meant it she really didn't know why her powers scared her so much, she knew how to use them but she had never shown anyone. "I think it kind of like stage fright, I just don't want everyone watching."

Amelia: Amelia figured she should head down to the kitchen. She grabbed her bags and went down. She walked in silently and saw that everyone was already there. Amelia wasn't much of an eater. She was used to going without meals, even for a few days at a time. She walked over to the fridge with her head down, letting her long hair cover her face, opened the fridge and grabbed an apple. She leaned against a nearby wall and waited to see what the others were talking about, and if anyone would try to talk to her.

Max: Max saw Amelia come in. For one moment, Max wondered if Amelia had seen the email and just pretended she hadn't. Max pushed the thought aside immediate. Amelia wasn't sneaky, just quiet. Besides, Max had pretty much toild her to keep it quiet, and Max didn't think Amelia was the sort to go back on her word. If Amelia saw Max, Max would nod a greeting to her but otherwise would ignore everyone.

OOC: I'll be going out soon, so if I disappear I'm probably gone. Anyway, well have gym class when I get back. After gym will be study hall, which will basically be free period except everyone has to be in the library or their rooms, except for Max and anyone else who gets detention, detention will be in the classroom.

River: River finished her food and walked into the kitchen to put her plate in the dishwasher, she went into the fridge to get some more juice, when she closes the fridge she noticed a girl leaning against the wall. "It's Amelia right? I'm River, I'm not sure if we've formally met yet. Do you like the school so far?" River was doing her best to start a conversation but she wasn't very good at it.

Nate: Nate drifted off into his own thoughts, thinking about his powers and gym class. He couldn't exactly show them to others, since he wasn't very good at using them yet. He had only actually started practicing four of them, and he wasn't good enough at any of them to show others.

Margo: Margo noticed another girl walk in. Margo couldn't remember if they had met yet, but she decided to ask to be friendly. So turned to the girl leaning against the wall, who was talking to River, "Hey, sorry to interrupt. Have we met yet? I've met so many new people over the last few days that I honestly can't remember. I'm Margo. You're welcome to sit with us if you want."

She had no idea what to say next, then another girl came over. She introduced herelf as Margo. "Hi," Amelia said, "I don't think so. I'm Amelia. Thanks, but, uhm, I think lunch is almost over anyways," she replied to Margo, answering her question about sitting together. Amelia was starting to feel crowded and panicky. Her breathing was coming quick and shallow, and she was really nervous. She was hardly used to talking to one person at a time, and now both these girls were in front of her. Amelia had no idea what to say or do, so she just stood there feeling extremely awkward. Maybe I should have gone to a school for social skills instead of my powers, she thought begrudgingly.

River: River lived her life being shy and uncomfortable and could see immediately that Amelia was not comfortable with talking to Margo and she. "Are you okay, sorry I didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable." she said smiling and stepping a few feet back giving Amelia some space. "I have to go and grab my gym bag from my room quick, either I you can come with me if you want," she said glancing at Margo and Amelia.

Amelia: Amelia felt stupid. These were just girls like her. I am such a spaz sometimes, she thought. "That's okay," Amelia said, "I'm gonna finish my apple then go to the gym and hang around there until class starts." She was surprised she could say all that. She was feeling a little more comfortable already. She knew it would be a long time before she felt totally comfortable, but it seemed like it would be easy here. Easier than anywhere else, anyways. These people were a lot like her. Probably in more ways than she knew. But Amelia's shyness was like a part of her, and her invisibility just enhanced it. She didn't think she would ever get over it completely, but in this place, who knows what could happen.

Margo: By the way Amelia was breathing slowly, Margo could tell she was nervous. Margo had never been good at comforting people, though, so she just smiled a bit and said to River, "I'll come with. I actually need to get mine, too." Margo placed her glass in the sink, then leaned against the counter, waiting to walk back to the dorms with whoever else decided to come.

Nate: Nate, overhearing the others conversation, was reminded that he needed to get his gym bag. He stood up, and told Alex, "I gotta go get my gym bag. See you in gym, I guess." He dropped his bowl and plate in the sink, and stood next to Margo, saying, "Are you going to the dorms?" even though he already knew the answer.
