We are one of several Teams here on the WISH Events Board. The Teams were designed to give WISHers smaller groups to interact in.

I'm excited to share that I registered for the Dumbo Double Dare yesterday! I'm finally going to Disneyland for the first time! woohoo! I'll fly there that Friday and home Monday. I'm staying at the Best Western Park Place which I've read is a great location, and it was cheap.

I am planning on going to TOT in October and Half in Jan 2014!!

Looking at current hotel prices at WDW. What is with $145.00 for Value Resorts for TOT weekend!!! OMG. I'll just have to hope against hope for FL Resident or Military discounts. Geez. Or opt for Shades and book that now.

Or wait for my publishers clearning house check! LOL

That is awesome Liz - see ya there! We were lucky enough to snag a studio at VGC on DVC points. We are flying in Thurs - Mon. Just DH and I. We love DL! We went for the first time June 2011 but drove there across country. We look forward to returning.

Hi, I would like to join. My name is Cindy and live in SE Florida. I began running in 2007 in order to get healthy and drop some weight. I started out by walking, then briskly walking to jogging then slow and steady running. I did several 5Ks @ WDW and 1 10K in 2007. I went into retirement due to knee and feet issues and I just gave up. It wasn't until I found the Disboards, started reading all the inspirational stories and getting great advice from the posters, that I wanted to run again. I did the 5K last week and I am doing the PHM next month. I want to do the W&D 1/2 as well. Thanks to all for helping me get back out there!

Hi all! I would very much like to join as the W.I.S.H. board has been such an inspiration to me the past few months. And if it weren't for you I probably would not be on this crazy journey to my C2C medal! My name is Amanda and I live in San Antonio TX. I've been running recreationally since last spring and I am addicted. For 2013 my goal is at least 15 timed races with at least one a month and my calendar is filling up fast! My long term goal is a race in every state.

Liz -- How cool that you're doing the Dumbo at DL! A couple of weeks ago I was thinking about doing the 10k but I'm going to hold off for now.

As of now, I'm planning on doing the 5k and the half next January at WDW. I will sign up for a couple of local races as well but not sure which ones yet.

Hi everyone!

Tip of the sailors cap to everyone that ran last week at WDW, it was a lot of fun. A special WaaHoo to the Daisy's in the group completing the Goofy Challenge. You are an inspiration!
Colleen & Carolynn: it was nice meeting you last weekend.
Vic: I'm sorry we didn't run (ha) into each other.
I had a great weekend. I finished my first marathon in 6:16 and I stopped 17 times on the course for pictures. I really took in the whole experience. Here is a link to a photo album from the weekend.

Walking to the corrals with Tanya, Liz & Augie was so easy, I might have to plan a stay at OKW again next year.
Liz: that exciting for you signing up for the DL races. I would really like to do it.
Carissa & Robyn: YAA! on planning to do the half next year. Looks like we will have to plan another Duck Drop.
I haven't signed up for any new races yet, but my wish list includes the Martian Half, Dexter Ann Arbor half, Ann Arbor Half (new to me), The Wine & Dine and the WDW half next year.
I am still having thoughts of doing the Goofy in 2015 (the year I turn 50), just don't tell Debbie.
Debbie was a wreck leading up to me running the marathon last week. She worried about me. I really enjoyed the race, coming into the MK I had a big grin on my face. I new I was going to see Debbie on Main Street, so that was a pick me up and who couldn't get excited about running in the MK? I saw Debbie again outside AK and that was nice. The WISH Scream Team were awesome, the cold wet wash cloths they passed out was very helpful.

How are everyone's legs doing after a week? I never had leg pain just some foot pain and it is getting better. I am going for a swim this afternoon and might get back running in a week or so.

Renee: Good luck this weekend at the Tinkerbell! have a lot of fun.

To the new Ducks, Welcome! You will find the pond very friendly.

We own at AKV and of course VGC is already full. I booked PPH for the 29th-1 and am going to wait list VGC for the 1st when my window opens and book another local hotel as a back up. I would love to be able to stay there and I know it will be a while before I can get back out there so I gotta at least try to get a night there!

I have my first half tomorrow morning and I am so excited! We went to the packet pickup/expo today. It was really small, only about 6 merchants but Bondi Band was there and I picked up a few and my husband got me a gift. I think I know what it is but I don't think he is giving it to me until our anniversary in two weeks.
