February 2013 countdown thread! - The DIS Discussion Forums

Did I miss the Feb. countdown thread?? Just changed our reservation from March to Feb. (savings of $900 BUT Splash Mountain will be closed!! So sad!!). Anyone else really sad about Splash being closed in Feb.? Our decision was based on the savings, plus we are going most of school vacation week (but nervous about crowds) and we hope that the BC pool will somewhat make up for no Splash...

Same here! DS will finally be tall enough to ride it.

And we don't plan to go back for a real vacation for another 4 years. Might be good enough excuse to go for MNSSHP though!

We are in for February too! Can't wait! I had not heard that Splash Mountain would be closed. Checked All Ears and they didn't have anything about that in the January or February closings & refurbs list. Oh, well, we will miss that one!

I hope you feel better soon! I got it Friday before last, was out of work for 3 days last week with it, and though was back to work last Weds i still have a cough and sneezing. We go Feb 1, and I can hardly wait! It is mid thirties and sleeting in Austin Tx, unusual for here.

They announced longer park hours and EMH on some nights, so I can have more hours in park. Check the Disney park hours site for the changes. Not up on all the third party sites yet.
Super Bowl Sunday got mk hours to 10 and EMH to midnight! I will be there. With warm coat and gloves if needed! Hopefully it will be nice.

Too funny, we're leaving from Austin on the 1st as well

Late in the day though so DD will be out of school. Also staying at POP and coming back on the 7th. Have fun! Oh and FINALLY feeling alive today, hopefully I can go back to work tomorrow. (Count that on a list of things I'd never hear myself say lol)

Going at the end of February!

Off topic, but for those of you who had/have the flu, did you get the flu shot? I'm still debating whether or not I want to get it. If we weren't planning a Disney trip this winter, I wouldn't have any problem not getting it, but since we are I'm questioning myself...

We have 12 days.
About the flu, DH was feeling fluish right before our cruise. Immediately started taking Umcka cold & flu + Sambucol and Nux Vomica. Worked a charm!
