The WDW marathoner waiver indicated they could register for DL at their expo, so advance registration will be offered at both WDW MW and Tink.

I will be stocking the RunDisney page on the 22nd to get in, I think it will fill faster then the 34 days it took last year.

I wonder if they will actually get to the 22nd. I'm guessing a lot of Tink runners will sign up, and a lot of C2Cers too. It wouldn't shock me if it sold out very quickly.

I asked about having someone at WDW or Tink register for me, but I don't have anyone going that I would provide my CC# to, finger crossed on the 22nd!

This is what I am worried about. What if Dumbo sells out entirely before the official registration day even gets here? So many people seem so excited about it, and with opportunities for people to snatch spots early, how do I even stand a chance? I am going to be heartbroken if I log on the 22nd and its already full.

I was thinking the same thing ~ the DL race is so much smaller than WDW, I'm curious if it'll sell out at Tink. You would think they would save some spots for those not running this weekend or next, but you never know.

It is so hard to say how fast things will sell out. Many people are protesting the prices (as they always do) and saying they won't go for it. But, then again, that has been the consensus and races keep selling out earlier and earlier at DL. I wonder if they will be offering a discount...they usually do at Expo's outside of Disney, but I guess there isn't much incentive for them to do so at their own race weekend.

This is my worry too. It just doesn't seem right to completely shut out first timers. Due to circumstances with work, DL is the ONLY runDisney event I can get to. I too will be heartbroken if I can't get in. I am planning to register DH for the 10k and myself for the DDD and make it a weekend celebration for his 50th birthday this year.

I wonder what time on the 22nd the website will update. Midnight? 5am? 8am?

In line at the WDW expo for registration. I think three computers was not enough. Line is forming and not moving at all. I think the first three people are registering their running clubs.

Also, rundisney guy with authority said they are looking at the 5k 10k timing issue and might address it after Tink. He was aware of the conflict and the times didn't sound written in stone.

I just got an email from the Disney Visa people with a link to Disneyland race registration. Looks like there isn't a discount like there was for the Disney World marathon (I don't know if this is typical or not--this is my first year even paying attention to runDisney events), but cardholders can register before it opens to the public on Jan. 22.
