Weluvdisny I hope your issues heal quickly. When you mentioned that the pain was now into your arm, I had a brief moment of deja vu. In 2011, I had a herniated cervical disc (c5/c6) and had neck, shoulder, back and right arm pain--basically, the whole right side of my torso. It was not pleasant and took months to really recover. I hope yours is just a "slept funny" thing, but if it doesn't get better soon, please go see a doctor.

AFM, I had a wonderful 4 mile "mentally reassuring" run this morning at the gym. Various body aches/pains were on a 1-2 (out of 10) scale and it just felt good to run.I ended with a smile on my face. It was a great way to end what has been an inconsistent, short training period.

Time to go pack! (well,laundry first)

Uh ya, I am opening doors and turning off light switches at work with a paper towel after I have washed my hands.

My one coworker this morning was like "I'm surprised you're not sick, everyone is sick, and with all the outside running you do (in the PA winter), I can't believe you aren't sick."

I wanted to cut her. Seriously.

No I haven't been to a doctor. It's been on both sides of my back so I'm not sure how to treat it. As long as you discontinue the day prior to the race, there is generally no issue.

Bet of luck to everyone in the races and in the traveling!! I'm so freakin' excited. We leave early Friday morning and I cannot wait!

I'm going to see a chiropractor tomorrow about my knee issues. I know there really isn't anything anyone can do, but hoping he'll at least recommend a brace that will get me thru the 13.1 (and still be able to walk around the parks for the next week).

I remember having ravioli at WP Cafe in DTD before the Princess. This year for the marathon, we're eating at Mama's in HS. I snagged the coveted, geriatric dinner requirement time of 3:30. I'm sure I'll be hungry before I go to bed in which case I'll just eat a banana or something.

I know how you feel. My co-workers apparently thing it's funny that I don't want to hi-5 anyone, don't want them to touch me, breathe on me, NOTHING. Now it's a big joke and they mimic coughing in my direction when I go by. I don't make enough money to deal with people like this.

I'm doing my first long race ever - the 1/2
So excited and nervous! My husband has done it twice and just keeps poo-poo'ing me!

Are any of you worried about the heat... I have been training in low 40's weather and I pretty much melt at heat and humidity, so I'm so anxious!! I know it's nothing I can control!

Also - does anyone know - if I get to the expo before 7 and am in line, will they let me pick up my stuff? We get in late on Thursday and I wanted to try to beat the crowds on Friday, plus we have lots of plans on Friday - two daughters + Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique means I'll get nothing else done on Friday
