Disney Has Updated The Fort Website
Ya'll,
Disney has recently redone their main WDW website and with it all the resort pages including the Fort. https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/re...erness-resort/ I like the new look. One new thing is once you select each type of site the rates are laid on on a monthly calendar. That's a good thing since the old style made you guess where your dates would be (and they were creating more and more rate windows/periods). Click the "view price per night" link and then the "seasonal pricing" link to get the calendar view. I found it interesting they used a Disney rental tent for the pictures for the Preferred sites (in addition to the Popup/Tent sites). Premium pictures appear to have been taken in 1100 and Popup/Tent in 2000. In their pictures they also seem to show the site from multiple angles and include pictures of the cable hook, the power plugs and breakers, the utility post with the water, and the grill/picnic table. What do you folks notice about the new site? What do you think about it? Bama ED

I love the new site. Like you mentioned the calender with day to day pricing is really nice. I haven't mastered the restaurants section yet. I have found it easier to use and just really like the design all together. Will have to check out the pics of the Fort when I get on the computer tonight.

Love, love, love the new way to view pricing! Like mentioned above, I hated trying to guess what season was when and make it all match up. Especially when looking at various resorts because not each one was the same! Wonderful job on WDW part for a website upgrade!

I love it!
The pictures will certainly help answer a lot of the questions that folks post here. I think they show the differences in the pads, grills, and the picnic tables wonderfully! |

![]() I purposely didn't post anything originally about 2013 rates in my original post and I don't want this thread to be a gripe-fest about rates. ![]() It's a constant battle between consumers and providers. The Fort is a pleasant diversion but not a NECESSARY one. I have other things I want to see/do/experience in my life and I'll weigh a Fort return visit against these opportunities. I will say the scale is tipping more toward those other experiences. The cost of an adult entry <AP, 10-day, whatever> to the parks is eclipsing the incremental value it offers over the last visit I had. Also I'm hoping to visit the Fort in more of the off seasons in the future as I approach empty nest-hood. Bama ED

I don't see the " no expiration" option on the tickets. Am I missing it or did they take away the option?

If my wife had seen the new picks before our first trip she would not have worried about how nice the Fort is. She was worried it would look like a "trailer park".

I noticed from the site pics that the preferred and full hookup sites have 50amp, 30amp and one 20amp service.
While the premium and pop up sites have 50,30, and two 20amp service. This might not matter to a lot of people but if you have a really power hungry rig, then the preferred or full hook up might not have enough power. I am thinking along the lines of people that have to use a cheater box to get a second 50 amp by combining the 30 and 20 services.
