Mouseketeer annette funicello
Please forgive if already posted...
But Annette Funicello, 68, suffered a terrible house fire. She was hospitalized for smoke inhalation. Sadly, the video I watched in the Orlando Sentinel said she has lost virtually ALL of her memorabilia  If anyone knows how to reach her, I'd love to send her a card. She has been an inspiration from MOUSEKETEER days, thru Beach Blanket Bingo with Frankie Avalon & even her PETER PAN PEANUT BUTTER commercials. Blessings, Annette!

This is sad news. She is a fine lady and if anyone is a Disney "person" it is certainly Annette.

There was a recent tv feature on Annette Funicello and her MS disease. She is in poor shape now but her husband's love for her shines through.

And Disney -- where she has an enormous legacy (not just the Mouseketeer era but also her years of recording, her efforts singlehandedly got the Disney Buena Vista record label off the ground) -- hasn't done much of anything in over twenty years to recognize or acknowledge her. Yes, she got inducted into the Legends way back in 1992, but since then Disney rarely, rarely refers to her and when they have just as a vintage relic (no references whatsover to her fate or present situation).
