Around the world after the marathon
I read somewhere on here that there is a wish group drinking around the world monday after the race. This sounds like an excellent way to celebrate a goofy finish/mourn a failed goofy attempt. This also seems like a fun way to meet some wishers in person since the meet at pop might be iffy for me. I just wanted to know a few things:
1. Would it be cool if my family and I tagged along? 2. What time are you guys meeting up? 3. Where are you meeting at? Thanks in advance and I hope everyones race weekend goes great.

Yes, there will be a bunch of us, both WIShers and not, meeting for Drinking Around the World on Monday. You and your family are certainly welcome to join us. My friends and I are meeting at Canada between 11:30 and 11:45. Officially, they say they don't start serving until noon, but in previous years they've poured in advance so we can get started right away. We'll be done with all 11 countries (and 11 drinks) by 6 or 7, after which we'll grab dinner (probably in Mexico) and then head to England for more beverages and the fireworks.

DH and I will be there! But, there is absolutely NO way I will be able to consume 11 drinks and make my way back to ANYWHERE for more drinks/fireworks...dinner or not!

Maybe we just need to bring along a few extra cups so we can share! Sort of like doing a beer/wine flight. No matter...I plan to be there for this.

I was reading that Tutto Gusto has a free wine tasting/seminar on Mondays and Tuesday at 3....think they have room for a bunch of Wishers?

I would love to try to do that. Knowing I cannot consume more than two beers or two wines. That said, it would be cool to meet some of y'all. I guess if I were wondering around Epcot with my (lips to God) Goofy medal, I would search for a crowd of medals hovered in one drinking establishment.

I think Mike and I are planning on sharing. We have dinner reservations that we'd like to keep.
Not doing Goofy, but it's my first marathon so that should count for something, right?

A few year's ago, the women's winner was in a group behind us, and rumor has it that one of Runner' World's officers might even be stopping by this year.

I'm going solo for the race, so I'm hoping to catch up with y'all somewhere during the DATW on Monday. Safe travels, and see you soon!!
