dollhouse for dd age 4 - The DIS Discussion Forums

For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to make a dollhouse. I used to see them at AC Moore and imagine making one for my daughter one day. And in 2008 I had a daughter. But as everyone knows, once you have a kid all your time goes out the window.

Fast forward three years...my cousin had a dollhouse in a box that she bought years ago and did not want to make anymore. So she gave it to me. For months it sat in my craft room. Then my dd started bothering me about when she is going to get her dollhouse. And so the craziness began....

This past year I worked on the dollhouse as much as I could. I bought everything I needed (furniture, paint, roof shingles, etc) in little bits and pieces because they are EXPENSIVE!!!

I am happy to say the dollhouse was completed right before Christmas (and no it wasn't a Christmas gift. You cannot hide this house). I put some Disney touches in it for my dd. I made a castle on her actual bedroom so I made a miniature version for the dollhouse. All the dolls for the dollhouse are the small 4"? dolls I got from the Disney outlet by me. I bought the pack of the dalmation dogs for the dollhouse pets. And yes, Cinderella's mice are in the attic.

I am absolutely in love with how this dollhouse came out. I hope you all enjoy the pictures (if I can get them up)

Thanks. 😃 She absolutely loves her dollhouse. When I first put it in her room she did not want to leave her room for anything. I have a smaller one I plan in building for her to keep at grandmas and grandpas
