Chef Brian told me that my idea could be done, but needs to be simplified for the mini cake. Here's the pic I sent him that I found online:

One more question before I call. Do you have to get the mousse filling or can it just be all cake?
I want a mini tier cake with white fondant and yellow roses and was thinking about the marble cake. Any opinions?

I'd at least get buttercream filling, since I don't really like their mousse filling either. Seems like it would be possible to go filling-free, but only the bakery can tell you for sure.

He said that he did not have a blueprint of rockin roller coaster, but could just do a rockin roller coaster themed cake.
I replied, could we do any blue print design and add a rockin roller coaster guitar to the top. He replied he could do only one theme. I would have to choose. Not sure what to do. I want disney incorporated some way in the cake, but looks like that won't happen. Don't want to tick him off by asking if any disney could be incorporated.

Hi folks, oddly enough; my cake predicament is the most troublesome of my 10 day WDW trip from CA and I need advice.
January 19th 7PM dinner reservations at Rainforest in Animal Kingdom for four adults and two children (5 and 8 year old boys). It's the 8 year old's birthday and he picked the restaurant. The 19th is mid stay for our trip (13th-23rd). Since they don't do cakes and we're coming from CA, I need to bring it to Rainforest myself. We plan to spend the day at Animal Kingdom that day to simplify things. I thought I would bring the cake there in the morning and meet the rest of my family in the park. My question is, where do I order the cake from? He wants a Disney themed cake but I think the standard Mickey cake might be off putting for them (the filling) not to mention too large (wasted). Budget is not a concern (what's another couple hundred dollars to the cost of the trip ). We're staying at the Art of Animation in Cars if that matters but I don't mind going to pick it up anywhere on property since I'm making a special trip anyway. Is the Bakery my best bet? Help oh cake gurus? p.s. I SO can't wait to be back in the World.

How long does it normally take to get a call back regarding a cake order? I am trying to order for January 15th at the GF if that makes a difference. Thanks!

If it were me, I'd work with a local bakery like It's Tasty Too, Anna Cakes, or Sprinkles to have them deliver the cake to me at dinner. I know It's Tasty Too does this quite frequently and gets high marks from DIS brides who've used them. You will also get a LOT more bang for your buck. The person you need to speak to may be on vacation. They only really need 2 or 3 days' notice; I'd call back over the weekend if you still haven't heard.

Ordered with It's Tasty Too. A Lego brick (the kids are crazy for Legos and are just as excited for the Lego store as the parks).
Nice people! Thank you for the recommendation lurkyloo, all handled and very affordable!
