Thanks for another guilt-free, wallet-free shopping excursion, MeMom! Even though we brought home piles of stuff for Christmas, I can never get enough of WDW shopping.
And those Splash Mtn walk-off pics were a treat. What a unique & fun adventure!
In church on New Year's Day, I saw a family we ran into several times this last trip. The little girl was trying to place who I was - until I wished her a happy Mickey New Year! And may we all enjoy a happy, healthy, Mickey-ful 2013!!!

Love the SM photos! I would jump on the chance to take pictures with the characters in there. I think I saw another Memom pictures during the parade.

Pictures were taken before the castmembers came by and told everyone to put cameras away. We walked along the edge of the displays through a wet walkway and then down some steps to get out. I am glad we got to do it, just because for Disney geeks, something like that is cool.

Next, we checked out Team Mickey. This is where I sometimes can find t-shorts for Trent and Drew that they will wear, like Nike, Adidas, etc., since they do not want anything with Mickey on it.





Someone had asked for pictures of the RideMakerz area, but I forget who that was now.









Brooklynn tried her hand at remote control fun.

I would like to stay in a treehouse one of these days for a night or two with a big group. I think it would be a different kind of Disney experience.

I really, really like this resort. It is so pretty, so laidback, and so vacationy feeling to me.

Having lived there, I have a huge love of this place, not just for Disney World, but for the beauty of its land and for the people I knew. I have such fond memories of great times with my church family there.

Those boys were thoroughly enjoying their chance to pose with Brer Rabbit.

We have a Snow Kitty at our house, too. I wonder at what age I should pack up Connor's stuffed animals? (He may or may not still sleep with Baseball Bear and Pirate Mickey.)

I am super excited about the photo tour of OKW -- I want to rent points and stay there on the next trip!

We have stayed at Old Key West and it is beautiful! I loved the feel of the whole resort.

Disney boat rides are the best! I did have the buy toothpaste on our last trip and you definitely are paying for more than the toothpaste if you know what I mean. Mine was fancy Polynesian Resort toothpaste! Ooolala. I want that flatware!

Since we just had our first stay at OKW (as OWNERS!!), I LOVED those pictures! I saw a lot of things that I almost bought too! Kind of wishing I'd have gotten something like a mug that said OKW, but maybe next time!

We really liked the relaxed feel of the resort and the 1BR was FABulous! Wished I was staying there more nights.

I'm two days late, but Happy New Year!

We just got our ME stuff! I was getting nervous since it was so last minute, but now we're all set We're under 48 hours now! I still can't believe we're actually leaving on Saturday. We went from "we might not go until May" to "we leave in two weeks" really fast I don't think it's gonna sink in until we land in Orlando.

The weather looks good up here and down there! Still a 0% chance of precipitation Saturday. And it looks like it's gonna be too warm for snow while we're gone, which is good. We don't want to have to worry about our pet sitter not being able to get here, or worry about my grandma being home alone in a snowstorm while we're out of town.

Now I'm gonna go clear some space on my camera and my phone, and start packing

OKW looks so chilled out and relaxing. I've only been there on ME waiting to go to my resort but I should take some time out and go explore it sometime! Since 2013 doesn't look to hold a trip for me, I think an extra-long trip in 2014 would be the perfect time! . And as always, I love the virtual shopping!

They were having a blast!

I think I'd just let Connor be in charge of his own 'breaking up' with his furry friends. It could be dangerous to do it any other way!

I do, too. It has just the right mix of the relaxed feel and vibrant feel.

It is fun to ride Disney boats, since we don't very often travel by boat in normal life.

I hope you get a chance to walk around OKW a little. The area out by the pool/dock/Goods to Go is so pretty.

Wait, did you say you lived in Florida?

That drop is so fun! Sometimes you get plenty wet, and sometimes not too much at all. I have been known to wear a poncho, or at least hold one over my hair and my bag.

We went to take pictures, shop, explore, eat, and do a craft, which you will see. I enjoy resort hopping, so just walking around is fun for me.

Yes, I lived in Florida for about 4 years when I was a young teenager. My dad was in the Air Force and was stationed at MacDill, in St. Pete. We had an awesome church there, and it is where I became a Christian, so it is very special to me. I had a cousin who went to college in Miami, and we traveled to see her there. We also went to St. Augustine, another base up in the Panhandle, beaches on the Atlantic Coast, U of F in Gainesville, etc. Lots of fun! I think that's why I am so fond of palm trees - because they bring back so many good memories.

Very cool. My DH lived in FL for a few years around middle school age, but he was on the Atlantic side, near W. Palm Beach. He says he didn't love living there, but sure enjoys vacationing there!!

I remember a couple trips back (March 2011 I think) we visited OKW and checked out the shop and pool areas. That was before we bought DVC points there! I like to visit the resorts too - sometimes to eat, shop, just wander around...Someday I'd like to stay at all of them too!!

My time was about the last half of 5th grade to the first half of 9th. it was traumatic for me to move at that age. I was so mad and sad about leaving.

Jill and I have that as a goal, too, to stay at each resort for at least one night. She's done a couple more than I have, since she went to POR and CBR on honeymoon and anniversary trips. We have also stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge, Wilderness Lodge, Saratoga Springs, POFQ, and all the values.

Um I have an 18 year old boy who might still have stuffed animals in his room.
Have not looked to see if he is still sleeping with him but last I looked one was on the bed and a couple in the bookshelf.

When he is ready he will pack them up.
