Journey To The Center Of The Earth ride
Is there any chance Disney will bring "Journey To The Center Of The Earth" ride to Disney World sometime in the future? The same one that is now at Tokyo Disney Sea. That is the coolest ride ever. It's half dark ride and half thrill ride - perfect! All the Disney fans out there should let Disney know we would love to see this here at Walt Disney World. It would be a GREAT addition.
![]() ![]() ![]() This should be Disney's next ride here in the states. If you want this ride, let Disney hear you. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TN89z...ture=endscreen

I heard that rumor a while ago-- It would be a cool ride / concept. Even though the movie wasn't the best.

I think a Mysterious Island might work at the Animal Kingdom. That and a redone 20,000 Leagues ride would fit with Mythological critters IMO

Yes please! This ride and Mysterious Island would be fantastic in Animal Kingdom. I actually think Pandora is very pretty, but I don't to explore a world with towering blue Na'vi everywhere. I know it did great at the box office, but it's not like Harry Potter or Marvel where is has a long lasting fan base.

That's not true. I don't want it to go away. I think disney can do somethin special with Pandora. The question is will the half *** it or not

Yes, anything would be better than Avatar but I don't think Journey to the Center of the Earth has a big enough following to make a ride...

I agree with this. Avator seriously needs to go, but I doubt Journey to the Center of the Earth would help AK at all. It didn't really do that well here in the states did it?

2) OLC owns Disney Tokyo, NOT Disney/ABC . . . and, they are very futuristic . . . and, they are every daring . . . and, they will spend money 3) Tokyo has MANY attractions not considered for the U.S.A.. 4) If they did bring things over, Disney Seas would be a prime candidate.

It might depend on who owns the ride design (It was designed by WDI, but if under contract to OLC, OLC may own it), and the rights to the theme - Disney may not have rights to the theme in the U.S. and would have to re-license it.
So there may be a number of hurdles not worth jumping vs. doing something with a property they already own - say, like Star Wars...

Many fans have never heard of the Haley Mills movie, "In Search Of The Castaways" It's story in the original Jules Verne novel happens between "20,000 Leagues", and "Mysterious Island" and connects all three together. I think Disney has forgotten about that as well.
The original movie version soundtrack of "Island" is used in show scenes at Disneyland on the Walt Disney Railroad. And the original movie is not a Disney film. "Castaways" is a fun film from it's era, and was made after "Leagues". There are a few scenes in "Castaway" that could lend themselves to a thrill ride attraction, alongside "Island". Especially at TDS. |

I actually rode it twice and thought it was more of a D than an E ticket.......also the quality of the ride experience was really effected based on where you sat in the ride vehicle as the roof supports block the view of some show elements from certain seats.
