Psh...we are all life long friends now. There will be a Dec '12 Forever thread. But, really..Tofu is going to make a new thread for mini trip reports.

It was me! Is any of the wine cold, by any chance? That'll make a difference whether or not I have to buy it the day before and chill it myself.....it would be much easier to buy it cold.....does anyone know if the store at the campgrounds sells wine? Wine in our little Resort sundries store is not. But in the larger store with groceries on the Boardwalk, it is cold. I would assume Ft Wilderness sells a lot of groceries and is more likely to have cld. But I've never been there. Perhaps ask on that board.

On his way out the door to work Dbf just said "I plan on buying us tickets to MVMCP. It would just be silly to go around Christmas time and not go to the party." To which I replied, "but but the scheduuuule!"

I'm not sure if MVMCP is worth it for the two of us. We don't really care much about meeting the characters and the crowds for the parade and fireworks are always a bit stressful with people stepping in front and such. It would be nice to have shorter ride lines, snow on Main St, and cookies and hot cocoa. hmmm But for the same price we could get a 3rd day added to our tickets.

I had already decided against the party, but didn't realize he was planning on going! Decisions, decisions...

I say go to the party.....just this once. We plan on riding rides during the first parade because it seems the second parade is less crowded (it's after Holiday Wishes). We've never done the party either but I'm excited to check it out just this once.

We fly in on saturday but don't check in to POR until sunday. What section are you in at POR? We'll be in building 18, corner room but first floor (no second floor corner rooms available in that building). Could have been in building 14 but the view was parking lot so we were upgraded. Not sure of the room category as we paid for a King room.....our view looks beautiful so I will venture to say it's a Garden view. REally excited to see the resort!

Tomorrow...instead of working, I'll need to go to the tow yard, have the car towed to the autobody, let the adjuster know where the car is...and hope he can appraise it tomorrow so, that the autobody can start the repairs; go to the police station and the RMV...and hope that all of this is all set before we leave. I am truly counting my blessings that all parties are fine. However, I am so frustrated that I have done very little for a week after being sick...and NOW I have to take care of this...and we are down one car...and we leave in 60 hours.

That is so scary. I know, as a mother that I'm a total worry wart. I had to hold my breath as I read your description because you just don't know. We are not promised tomorrow! I am dropping to dog off to my dd's apartment tomorrow afternoon and I will hug her a little longer than usual

Huge hugs. I'm sorry you have to deal with this before the trip. I'm happy the girls are ok. If they are sore tomorrow you may want to have them looked at just in case.

Wow, so sorry you have to deal with this right before you leave but I am glad no one was seriously injured.

Well, I am finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. If I can make it through work tomorrow, next week should not be too bad.

Tomorrow is mine and DH's 10th anniversary and we have dinner reservations at a very nice restaurant. Problem is that I still don't have much of an appetite. I've finished my z-pack, my steroids, and started the Zyrtec D but I still have so much congestion in my head and cough constantly. Should be a romantic night! And, I was finally able to do on-line check in today but it gave me a message that said DME did not have my flight info. When I pull up my ressie, it clearly shows the flight info but when I called DME they said they didn't have it. I swear I have had more technical issues with Disney's site this time. You would think there is a little mouse running on a wheel to keep their server up and running!

How are you getting your boarding passes for the return trip home? That just occured to me. Will we be able to print them 24 hours in advance like we are for our flight TO MCO?

We arrive in the afternoon but our first FULL day we have a 7:05 am ADR for Chef Mickey

I'm thinking about buying a new compact digital camera before we leave. I have a Nikon DSLR that I love but I feel bad making DH lug it around the parks all day for a week. I have had two Nikon coolpix cameras and have not liked either one of them. If you try to use the zoom in low light the pictures are totally blurred. I'm thinking about trying out a Canon this time. Anyone have thoughts or suggestions on it or another compact camera?

For your return flight you can do on-line check in on your mobile phone and they can print your boarding passes at check-in - at least you can with an iphone.
