Loved the first update.
Emirates sound fabulous, they certainly treated you like royalty. I can't believe the traffic was still awful at the time of night in Paris. Something to think about. I love that you are staying in the 1st, as are we. I will be able to pick your brain when we get back. Remember we are staying in the Palais Royale, I don't think it's too far from you. The apartment looks nice and clean and perfect. I bet you are super tired now but can't wait to hear more. Enjoy!

Glad to see you arrived all safe and sound. Emirates are wonderful with their service. Great to see the kids meals, haven't taken the kids on Emirates before.
We also stayed in the 1st arr just around the corner from you. We loved it there. Enjoy Paris. Looking forward to more updates. Mia

Thanks for the update. Glad you have arrived in one piece.
Emirates looks fantastic! I LOVE how they did the birthday plate and took a photo and framed it! How nice was that! Your apartment looks great. I had a chuckle at the lift. I couldn't get in the lift at a hotel in Paris once that we stayed in as it was just too small and my claustrophobia was terrible Some of their lifts are so small.Looking forward to the next instalment. Have a great time!

Great update Shushh! Glad to hear your children coped well with the flights over.
I really liked Emirates too. They show families, particularly children, a lot of respect. Love, love, love the birthday plate idea! Your apartment looks fantastic. Your children look like they're all set for a slumber party! Looking forward to the next update. |

How exciting, you are finally there!! Emirates looks like a kid friendly airline. Had to laugh at losing a child on the plane. That is exactly the sort of thing I can imagine happening to us.

When I head in that direction, I think Emirates will be the airline of choice for me too. That looks like amazing service you got.
Sleep well and hope you get your camera out more tomorrow!

Sounds like a great start. Sorry I missed your deadline to say au revoir and avoir un grand temps (I think! bit rusty). I want to be a kid again when flying-so much more fun especially when you can still curl up and sleep in your seat! Our short haul Emirates in 2010 from Istanbul to Dubai wasn't as good but a friend who lives in Dubai so travels Emirates all the time raves about them too-your experience looks great. LOVE the apartment-why am I slumming it at Hotel Cheyenne at DLP in May when I could be in the 1st Arrondissement in an apartment like that? Good job I have locked in or by the time you finish your Paris tales I will be wishing we were staying in Paris again I am sure. Have a wonderful time. We love Paris-hope you do too.

Oh Shushh, I think you've done a wonderful job of capturing what a visual city Paris is both in print and picture.
Keen to know how the time adjustment/ jet lag holds up on Day 2 |
