Hard Rock Hotel Booked Through 3rd Party...?
I have some travel points here in Canada through BMO Bank, and on their bmorewards travel website, the Hard Rock Hotel is listed as an available hotel. Also discovered with further searching that all 3 hotels are listed.
Sooo...I was planning on booking one night to get express passes for my family of 5, but I have ~$300 credit on this travel website, so I thought I could maybe book it through there. Here's the rates I see: Hard Rock at Universal Orlando TRIPLE KING SIZE BED-CLUB LEVEL $341.48 7/6/2013 : $341.48 Loews Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Orlando QUADRUPLE 2 QUEEN BEDS 279.48 7/6/2013 : $279.48 Loews Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Orlando QUADRUPLE 2 QUEEN BEDS-GARDEN VIEW $236.66 7/6/2013 : $236.66 Now...first off, there's no such thing as a 'triple king' room type even listed on the lowes hotel website. I think it means King Bed (max room capacity 3) - which won't work since there's 5 of us. The QUAD 2 Queens likely means 2 queen beds for 4 (but since their max room capacity is 5, and they can do a rollaway bed, I suspect this will work for us). And all the prices seem...backwards! Weird! Problem with this is I can't book it online on the travel site - when I try, there's a message that says I need to call the bmo rewards call center. Wondering if these hotels are not supposed to be on the site anymore or something? Anyway, hoping someone that's stayed there or who has booked through a 3rd party website before would know what this is about - and if it would still work and still qualify for express passes for the whole family (if I in fact can book it). It would be great to use these points for this hotel stay! Thanks in advance!

[prices aren't necessarily backwards.
the hotel rates fluccuate all the time. you will find the usually higher price hotel not the most expensive on some dates.

Thanks for the info, guys! I have enough points for one night at either of the 3 Loews hotels, but with PBH being the cheapest, I'd likely book this. We probably won't stay at the hotel, but just use it for passes and hanging at the in the afternoon. Would you say PBH has the best pool?

That really depends on what you want in a pool.
![]() Don't let the pool be how you decide, though; Universal encourages pool hopping.

If there are 5 of you and you are going to spend the night, I would recommend a Deluxe 2 queen room at the Hard Rock. These rooms come with a sleeper sofa.
I believe, but could be mistaken, that some of the Deluxe 2 queen rooms at PBH also have a sleeper sofa, but not all of them. Mark
